for all you old heads, have the 500ml releases been reminiscent of the original recipes on these beers?
Come on bro everyone knows batch 1 is the best batch of every beer ever and anything since is watered down swill
I had Quaanto on draft and thought it lived up. Quite good. Did not try Alpha Kong, but last time I had it ~2015 I thought it as just fine. When I had it back in 2006 it was more impressive but beer was different then. Gorch Foch is good, seems a tad sweeter than I remember? Seems my fav batch of this based on reviews was 2019.
The burger spot i went to yesterday had Quaanto on draft along with Alpha Kong.. had both and I agree with you. Kong is fine, I just wanted to try it again. I never loved it back when I had it 10 years ago.. dont hate it either.
Loving the Wigsplitter. Would love to see them drop a Rauchbier or Weizenbock...another one that brings you back to the pre-Zombie Dust world of FFF. Backmasking 6 pack would be nice too.
No. Due to the State-issued cooties mandate, the taproom will remain closed until further notice. The patrons should remain no further than 6 inches apart at Dark Lord Day and will be required to receive the Dark Lord Vaccine injection upon entry.
The have a new pilsner in 16oz/4 packs at kiosk- Pre-Game. Between that, Gorch Fock and Calumet Queen it’s a great time to hit up FFF if you prefer those pilsners.
How bizarre. The packaging says the 30 year anniversary logo on it…but this wasn’t announced anywhere as a 6 pack. Why does Binny’s show it in stock before the FFF kiosk, web page or socials even have it? The 16oz bottles got taken down around the same time from the kiosk site… I wonder what the May 500ml kiosk release will be…hopefully a DL variant…
Hopefully it’s drunk dudes throwing darts all over. * I meant to post this under the DLD thread. Not sure how I messed that up. Actually who knows, admins edit and move my posts around often.
“He went out the way he would have wanted listening to death metal, overloaded with barrel aged beers. and Dark Lord variants flowing out of every dart hole….”
Pre Game Pilsner is very good but also has one of the strangest residual flavors on the finish at the front of your palate. Hops/initial sip remind me of a French pilsner or a Helles but like three seconds after the swallow I'm getting some rubber/eating crayons/drinking chemicals kind of flavor. Its not off-putting really, but I cant keep thinking about it either
