It’s been a busy day but I managed to squeeze in a 4.5 mile walk. Now at Double Tap drinking its new TIPA, Crushed by Clouds, hopped with Ecipse, Vic Secret, Citra, and Strata. It’s a big ‘en so I can’t get a pour in the mug. Cheers!

 

Apparently I’ve either been going to the wrong places on Thursday’s for Happy Hour, or have visited the Mount Airy Inn on the wrong days or times.
Evidently if you visit the Mount Airy Inn on Thursday during happy Hour, you receive 2 free slices of bacon with your pint of beer.

I like it!

A new DFH Grateful Dead brew - pretty tasty, warm weather lager! Now, if it will only warm up a bit!

 

Drekker Very Important Pistachio (6.6%): A Milk Stout from North Dakota with flavors of cocoa, lactose, vanilla, and pistachio cream.

New Drekker Stout, a chocolate Dubai Stout. Sounds fancy and I dig the pistachio flavor. Cocoa, lactose, pistachio cream flavors. Drinks smooth, relatively dry with a mild sweetness. The flavor is authentic and not too sweet or artificial. I'm not saying this is my desert island beer as the pistachio flavor would tire with time, but it's well-made and delicious. (Rating: 4.00)

@superspak I love cats and am enjoying your kitten photos with some jealousy. Also enjoying @Bitterbill cat photos. I should post some of mine sometime.

 

Second pour at Double Tap: Lucha Libre, a Mexican Amber Lager. This one can be served in the mug (20 oz pour). Haven’t had it before but it has a nice spicy kick. Cheers!

 

I was not aware this beer was back. Haven’t had it since it came only in bombers. Will be watching for it. Cheers!

Today's journey found us at Amicalola Falls. These falls are huge and consisted of a small steep hike and 600 steps via stairs to get to the top. Beautiful!
I am getting into a Precision Pils from Round Trip in ATL courtesy of @ATL6245, thanks David!
This one had a grainy sweet nose and more bready than cracker forward. The herbal hopping was well done, love the trace of bitterness on the back end.
Starting to pack up as we depart tomorrow for just south of Asheville.

What a great pairing! SNBC definitely killed it on this one - we have been fortunate to have had it at several tastings over the last 3 years and the bottle version is well done for sure!
I'm getting into round 2 of Precision Pils, this one is a great thirst quencher after our waterfall hike today.
