Into my 2nd 6 pk of this SNBC Summerfest - tasty beer, and going great with my left over pizza....yum!

 

Stumbled on this today. I actually prefer Focal Banger but they didn’t have any. Beer landscape in 2026: Heady isn’t good enough

 

Moving up the ABV ladder.

 

That's fantastic. And it looks like its cooked good (for me anyways). Not raw, not too crispy.

 

Early dinner. Always wanted to try this - Creature Comforts The Tree That Owns Itself 13% Barrel Aged English Barleywine. Aged 23 months in Willet bourbon barrels. The beer is named after a tree in Athens, GA where Colonel William H. Jackson, a University of Georgia professor, deeded the tree ownership of itself and all land within eight feet of its trunk, expressing his deep affection and desire to protect it. The city honors the deed to this day. In typical fashion, the pub serves this way too cold. Very sweet and warming. Toffee and molassis in a barrel. Pretty good. Not the best but pretty good.

Good grief. Full bodied and silky smooth with a long finish.

Last round of the day with the bright flavored Springfest from Sierra Nevada.
Amicalola Falls is a four-hour hike to the Appalachian Trail's southern terminus at Springer Mountain just to the north. Truly a beautiful neck of the woods here!
