I feel the same way about many of their beers. However taken as a whole, they are excellent brewers and if I only had access to their beer I’d be contented. Hopefully that makes sense

That’s What She Said Little Thing

That’s What She Said Little Thing hits with bright hops, soft haze, and a smirk. Sharp, playful, and delightfully fed up — this Little Thing delivers the line better than you ever could.

Kros Strain 36mo Double Barrel Barreled Distortion Maple Syrup Imperial Pastry Stout, 13% ABV. Pours thick and black with a ring of light-brown bubbles that left no lacing. Aroma is strong maple syrup, chocolate, roasted malt, and bourbon. Taste follows, with maple and roast malt stealing the show, moderately sweet, equally bitter, with no bourbon burn. Excellent thick and smooth mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Overall world-class.

Relieved this doesn't suck since I invested in six of them. This really outdoes CBS. Now I'm looking forward to the vanilla/coconut variant, which is reportedly better.

What a stroke of good luck! As I was putting away my first Monkish (from a trade) in the fridge, I noticed what I thought was a trade beer. However, it was actually a spare Mortalis Petasos quad IPA. Many know yellow beers are often lost on me, but the recent spate of Mortalis quad and triple IPAs have been chewy, pithy, juicy and dank all in one. Super cold, perfect for the 83 degree heat. Then a Monkish DDH That’s No Moon in the wings, and I’ll be well on the way to my seasonal transition to the yellow beer trend.

Ugh, after about a week long cold, I'm finally back in the drinking business ha.

Sorry, first up is an ultra dry Martini at Johnny's Gold Brick..AKA the home of the $2 Old Fashioned, well this is that deal, but for a Martini on Monday ha.

As I start my next Aharon Appelfeld novel, one of the best post WWII Jewish novelists.

Then to a another dive bar down the road...called The Deuce...yep thats right  With a Saint Arnold Amber and a half priced pizza...not the best ever, but for $6 not bad at all

OK, that is probably it for me, still recovering from my cold ha. But, good to be back among the...not really living, but I guess walking around ha. But what the hell do I know, I'm still loopy

Have a good Monday. Neighbors were loud as fuck until 4 AM once again. Had aldi chicken sandwiches for breakfast and then went to sleep.

I listened to Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi last night: 4/5 Great true crime biography about Henry Hill. I liked the Scorsese Film Goodfellas more, but this was still a great story. It had multiple narrators for the different points of view of the story. The foreword was narrated by Martin Scorsese as well about how much he liked the book and it influenced the movie.

FInishing up now is The Science of Interstellar by Kip Thorne: 4.5/5 I loved the Nolan film, and this was a world class physics book about the movie. Was exciting to hear about how the author, who is a nobel prize winning physicist, was the consultant for the original script, and the book explains how he worked with Christopher Nolan to get to the final product. They both wanted to make it line up with the physics of it all. A mixture of real and theoretical physics, the whole movie could have been plausible in some theories, even if not realistic in the physical sense. Also explains the fifth dimension part of the movie. I need to buy a hard copy to get the pictures and figures mentioned in the audiobook.

3/29/2026 canned New Belgium Juice Force. Always love it. Super juicy and smooth for 9.5%. Mosaic, Chinook, Phato, Galaxy, Strata, Lotus, and Sabro hops.

    Hey Advocates
Game 7 tonight should be a corker, as they same up north, I can’t really root for either team as I’m not a Canadian or Buffalo fan. Maybe they will both lose:thinking_face:
