Kros Strain Dunkel Breakin' My Heart Munich Dunkel, 5% ABV. Pours black with a four-finger light-brown head that left commensurate lacing. Aroma is roast malt. Taste is toasty malt, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Get Off My Lawn Amber Lager 5% on draft at Crooked Culture Brewing in Cumming, GA. Pretty good. Medium bodied, toasty and caramely with low bitterness. This is a nice, newer brewery in my area. What I don't like is they don't take cash. I dislike places that only take a cc or debit card. So I doubt I'll come here often. Too bad.

 

Beer # 2, and a tasty German marzen from the cellar - still hitting on all cylinders!

They Grow Up So Fast, a DIPA collab between Magnify and 2nd Favorite. I bought a pack to review later. Had a great conversation with Mag’s owner, who I haven’t seen for awhile. The co-branding of Magnify and 2nd Favor seems to be working well. Lots of energy in the Fairfield brewery. Cheers!

Pro tip: When drowning your sorrows after a miserable day at the driving range, don't make your first beer a slow pour. Velký from Sew Hop'd - pretty good.

 

Unfortunately all 4 of our weeping birch trees got the copper birch borer bug infestation and are struggling. We paid a reputable arborist last yr to hopefully save these trees but we got to them too late. Hybrid trees are prone to insect infestations moreso than OG. We'll probly loose the trees but will keep trying until they don't re-foliate. Pix next post.

Well, there is unusually gas discharge, don’t know why, but I feel like a spring chicken!

Back at Great Heart Brewing in Olivette. I know there’s a lot of good breweries in St. Louis, but their lager game is amazing and they pretty much only make lagers. This schwarzbier is the best I have had.

 

Work and workout have been completed. Now on to a glorious day of beer and college baseball. @Dethark you don't have to worry about me watching soccer. Will never happen.
