Just to be clear, the Bears haven’t committed to Indiana…they don’t even have a site identified. This is still just posturing…they bought Arlington Race Course to put a stadium there…until someone makes architectural plans for Hammond this isn’t a done deal. A Bears stadium less than a mile away from the Whiting BP refinery and a few more from the Gary mills is not going to be pleasant when the wind shifts that way. Plus someone said the Wolf Lake area sites are about 40 acres, just large enough for the stadium and parking, but not the entertainment district thing the McAsskeys want for ancillary revenue.
