Looks like it'll be a warm weekend, like the past few days. I have a few IPAs, golden ales and a pilsner in my store so I think i'll be having them whilst letting the sunshine and a cool breeze waft in through my window. Beer is the perfect accompaniment to essay writing! What shall you fine gents be quaffing over the next few days?

So far it's been a Green Flash Imperial IPA. Slightly weathered but still very drinkable despite the murkiness and lack of definition. Will need to find something even more flavoursome to go to the next level. Maybe a Paradox or a quad of some description might be in order. I'll need to check.

Am waiting for a grocery delivery which has called for a bit of fridge cull to ensure there's space for everything. So it looks like I'm going to be swigging Tesco Finest Belgian Abbey beer because its a bit of an expendable.

I've always wanted to try Riggwelter, but have never seen it!

Zimbo have you ordered some Tesco Finest Traditional Porter with your delivery?

    and onto new business

popped to the Kernel yesterday lunchtime and parted £40+ to the good brewers (last time in the current premises btw - they are moving up the arches slightly further out of town by 3 or 4 minutes at the month end)

Just opened (and supped) 1 year brewery aged 2010 Centennial IPA @ 9% ABV

    HEAVEN !!!!!

Can't wait any longer! It definitely doesn't disappoint, why can't all lager be like this?

Because 'all lager' isn't produced by small breweries who care about beer and spend 8+ weeks producing it (6 weeks lagering alone on Republika!)

Not read this yet but though it may interest you (picked it up via their FB page) ... a comparison of the Conquerors!

    http://www.petedrinks.com/2012/03/windsor-eton-conqueror-does-strength-matter/

BTW - glad the Republika doesn't seem to be a "disappoint" after me bigging it up so much!

Cool thanks i'll give it a read now! Does it bug you too that the BA pic for Conqueror regular is a bottle of Conqueror 1075?

Evening all! I've had a Cobra and am currently drinking Badger's 'England's Gold' - it's actually rather nice, if light (I've found many Badger bottles to have cloying levels of diacetyl). Got a Lakeland Gold and Brewdog's American DIPA lined up for later....

It wouldn't surprise me if it takes a while for stuff like that to happen at the mo. I imagine the site admins have their hands full with the integration process.

Yup, this is Old Engine Oil (there was a thread about it ages ago). Damn good brew! Maybe having one will make you feel better?
