How was Capone's able to get 6-packs already? Shouldn't hit Philly 'burbs until next Monday...

Philly has a tentative "Street Date" of next Monday, yet SeƱor Capone already has it? I wonder if he got it straight from the source. I kind of like the later draft date since NN is noticeably better on draft IMO and it will still be drinking great well into March when the weather starts to get a little nicer, which is when I tend to drink more hoppy stuff.

    Edit: jinx!

Capone's typically drives to the brewery to get beers.

Damn Keith. I consider you Mr. Nugget Nectar. I was counting on you to try it first and tell us what you think about this year's batch. :-)

I picked up a case near Carlisle last night. I think this year's batch is excellent!

Another old bomber thread indicated that the cost of converting a bottling line from 12 oz. to 22 oz. and back to 12 oz. for most breweries is built into the cost of the 22 oz. format rather than spread out among both. If there are separate bottling lines, it is going to be more costly to run the 22 oz. line for fewer bottles and the cost built into the price is going to be higher on a per bottle basis.

The link says next Monday. If that's going to be the case, then I would make the trek out there if you can't wait. Not sure I can...

I can't wait to try NN this year. By far my favorite beer of all time. I already have a sixtel reserved at my local distributor so hopefully its in by the first week of February. I'm going to the Wegmans in KOP on Saturday when they have their tasting to get a couple six packs to drink with some people during the Flyers v Pens game. I even saved 2 from last year so I can compare this year with a vintage from last year. Life is good.

Just curious, what was the price for a 6 pack at Capone's?

I mean, Wegmans Collegeville had piles of it last year. Not as if this is some sort of rare phoenix you need to hunt for once its released.
