I usually buy four/six packs. It seems like most Michigan beer comes in 12-oz bottles, and I don't like getting just one bottle of a beer. Having multiple bottles makes it easier to share with friends, and I feel like drinking the same beer multiple times in varying circumstances (different food, different beers before, etc.) gives the beer a fair shot, so I have better feel for it and whether I'd buy it again. I've definitely had bottles from the same pack that taste rather different, either from bottle variation or because of other flavors in my mouth.

I mainly buy cases, usually London Pride, ESB or Old Speckled Hen.

Outside of trading I mostly buy single 12s and the occational bomber. I rarely buy a 6 pack of anything anymore

I wish more places in RI offered growlers. As it is, I only grab Trinity IPA growlers once or twice a month.

Bottles got the smack down, so I heard. Le sigh.

    I'd say 60% by the case, 30% 12/6/4 packs, 9% singles/bombers/750's, 1% growlers.

Usually in 6-packs. Sometimes those will be the build-your-own six pack from singles. I've cut way back on bombers, but still purchase them occasionally. I've traded for far more growlers than I've purchased.

When it's something new we will either grab a single for each of us, or a bomber to split. If it's Nugget Nectar, then by the case

I like to mix it up- bombers have been enticing me lately, especially on a night where I really don't have much going on I'll crack one open, review it, enjoy and move onto something from a 4/6 after if needed. On that note I really wish MBC made Lunch in a 4 or 6 pack.

I buy a little of everything. I tend to do a bigger beer run every couple weeks depending how my work schedule is for the up coming week.

I would like to buy six packs. I've gotten away from the habit of buying singles, though there are cases where I probably always well(many Belgian beers are something I only want a single of). However, finding six packs of what I want and have it be fresh is really tough(in Pennsylvania). Also, our case prices aren't even great, so six pack prices are almost always rough. I haven't been able to homebrew in about six months, so that has impacted me as well. All that being said, I've been buying cases more. When I buy a case I'm going for a beer a love, because I don't want to get sick of something when I dropped $30-40 on it.

I break it down something like this. Do I like this beer enough that I'd buy two six packs in a row of it? Yes? How much would I pay for two six packs? At that point I realize it just makes sense to buy a case. Besides, friends are always eager for free beer, haha.

$10-12 for a mix 6 pack of craft beers is a great deal. Depending on the 12oz selection I choose, my mix sixers usually run $12-$19 (on the higher end with several imperial and such) and that is with a 10% discount off the single beer price. If you can get them for $10-12 avg. that is great.

Usually a 6 pack, but in the past 3 months I've been purchasing 8 random bottles for a bit of exploring excitement.

I have to get beer shipped to me from Europe, so I buy in 20kg boxes :grimacing:, usually one of each beer.

It all depends on what I like and how they package it. Lately, I have been going to places where they sell singles and loading up to try before I buy usually dropping $75-$100 on singles alone while also grabbing a cheap sessioner to have on hand, springtime is Genny Bock time and if I have recently discovered a single I want more of I invest in the 4/6 pack. So many beers so little time and the more I try, the faster I can eliminate the ones I like from the ones that aren't worth the time.

Yeah i agree that its great. my last sixxer had aprihop, sculpin, stones tba, southern tier 2xipa, lagunitus maximus and a nugget nectar. the womans reply after casually glancing over them was "its gonna coast a little more than normal because of your selection. itll be 12 bucks." i feel like thats a steal when considering that thats the only place i can get sculpin.
