Will the Assassin release be posted on the website also? I hope it is getting close to being ready.

Yes it will. The Assassin is ready to be released from the barrels! We are hoping to send it through our new filler so I don't mess it up this year:wink:. It is amazing this year!! I wish all of you could have tasted the barrels at the final topping.

I predict someday we will do that together.....cheers!

Kentucky Brunch or Mornin' Delight in bottles for sale?

It will happen. Keep in mind the KB has to barrel age forever! We are going to try and make Mornin' Delight annually and look for 12 oz waxed bottles of it.

For Twin Cities folk, Nova in Hudson has Growlers of their IPA and Oat Stout

Just reread the original post. Since this thread began, el bait shop in DM has started filling growlers so we have a much better ton to take TG home. I think I saw that a beer needs to be in their rotation for two weeks before you can get a growler and they always seem to have golden nugget available.

Does El Bait sell the actual growler too, or would I need to bring my own in? I think I might have an Olde Main one hanging around somewhere....

I was wondering this as well. Seems like they would have to sell a growler before they could fill it for you? Don't know the "carry out" laws for Iowa bars though? If you can just bring in any old growler and they'll fill it, that would rule!

They have their own 1 liter growlers.

I think I read somewhere that they will fill your other growlers too if you bring them in. Don't get mad if I'm wrong about that part though!!!

No law against bringing your own growler in as long as it states that it is 64 ounces and has the alcohol warning on it. El Bait might want to research a bit more on selling 1 liters. I could be wrong on that, just wouldn't want to see anyone getting in trouble. Growlers of TG have become a weekly thing at our house. I really like that bars are able to offer this now.

Thanks for the info. Didn't realize you could fill growlers at bars in Iowa and carry out. That is awesome. I fully admit ignorance here, but what is the alcohol warning you are speaking of?

Also, anybody happen to know what El Bait Shop charges to fill a growler of TG?

I, too, would be interested in knowing what they are charging for a new growler full of TG goodness, if anyone knows. :grinning:

Here is what they posted on twitter a while back.

" Growlers start at $9, with a $3 deposit for the first fill. Roughly double the price of a pint. Some will vary a bit."
