I just want to chime in on the ugly step sister of Dallas...that is my county...my hood...Fort Worth.

Just a brief check. Austin (1.06 million people in Travis) will recieve 40 cases of Abyss. Fort Worth (1.85 million people in Tarrant) will get what 10 cases? I only bring this up to point out people should quit including us in the D hate. Ignore the FW part...our distribution networks apparently already know how to do this very well.

I bet it's going to be awesome. I think this is the first step in getting some people in the metroplex to get in their car and drive a bit for good beer.

    I've got one Sunday too.

Guess I need to dig something up. lol

I hope this rumor to be true. With the resent addition of Ballast Point and the impending arrival of Firestone-Walker and now rumors of Founder's and Southern Tier, Texas is under assault by great brewery's. For this we must thank Jester King and their associates in the law suit against the TABC. It's good to be a beer geek in Texas. With that said, it would be nice if Founder's first release involved KBS.

I purposely left off Goose Island because I didn't want to start an AB-InBev shit storm.

KBS is released in April this year. According to these rumors Texas won't see distribution until 2Q 2013, so we won't be considered for it until 2014.

I too hope the rumors are true. Even if it is Dallas only, I have family that lives in Carrollton and I can just have them go get it and hold it for me.

Also, I emailed ST late last year and they said they were working very hard at expanding to Texas. So the rumor about ST could very well be true.

    Interesting...

I still don't believe these damn rumors though.

Well if it helps your belief... they're true. April is a long shot but I was told of a Founders Memorial Day "party" already in the works in DFW.

I will say this, am I 100% sure Founders will be here, no. Do I happen to know and trust quite a few people with BEK and in the beer industry that told me the deal happened yesterday, yes. I even checked with different references to be sure before I postd anything but Krumb beat me to it. I'll say with a high degree of confidence, barring some bs with TABC or something, that we will see Founders this year.

I hope I don't eat crow on this one, as many know I don't like to post non factual information

Being from Wisconsin and being able to get ANYTHING I wanted there as far as great beer goes, I'm happy to see any and all breweries entering TX from other states.

With all my favorite breweries coming to Texas, I'll be able to buy my new truck with the savings from not having to ship FEDEX all the time.

When I first moved to Texas it was standard protocol when living in Irving to roll a fattie and drive to Dallas and buy beer... Stupidest law I had ever heard of !!!
