Ive been to both but during the week...which has a better vibe on Fridays.

I am going to middle east first probably till from 8:30 - 1030-11 at the latest.

If you mean late night drinking spot, I would go to Lord Hobo over CBC. There's always a good drinking crowd, music, better overall ambiance than CBC. Plus they have late night munchies...and oh yeah, the tap list. I think CBC is a better spot earlier in the day/evening.

Alright cool thanks, It doesnt look like Middle East has anything to drink based on their website, and idk how much I will want to eat there.

The taplist at CBC is killer right now. I'd go for at least one round or a flight there first and then go to Lord Hobo since LH closes later. Fridays are usually the day CBC puts new stuff on tap.

Alright, I may do this...its walking distance from middle east right? I walk to work everyday for 25-30 mins and it was pretty darn cold, so I dont exactly want to walk all over the place if I dont have to.

I hope my roommates band gets done before 10 so we can go to both.

They have probably 8 or so draft lines and bottles/cans of a bunch of stuff. It's not a terrible selection as far as venues go.
You can call (617) 864-3278 and press *100 to hear set times before you get there. It's still Wednesday's info right now, but that should be updated at some point today if your show is tonight. Either way, set times are posted by the doors to either the upstairs or downstairs room.

Ah, the old Middle East phone line. Almost forgot about that. Helpful tip. They're also good at updating their Twitter feed in the afternoons. Here are tonight's set times: http://ht.ly/gWpRB

    BEER CONTENT:
The CBC really does have a wonderful lineup of seasonal beers on right now. I was there last night and, sadly, the keg of Higgs Boson had kicked (the last one, I believe). But otherwise the online listing is accurate.

Actually, I believe the Cerise and the Plum beers are no longer on tap either.

No stouts in a while, Kiwi is pretty good. Cerise was still on earlier in the week, not sure about now.

I love nelson but didn't like Kiwi Herman. I prefer their year round pale ale to it.
As far as stouts...I haven't seen YouEnjoyMyStout this year. I was told they are using new barrels for this years version so it should be a little different from last year.

Yeah... Tom set up an email list and people called in orders and had a week to pick it up. This was a few weeks back. Are you in the mailing list? If not, I'll send you a msg with his email
