This drinks almost like FBS. Absolutely a great beer. Much of the same flavor profiles. However, with FBS, I get that caffeine buss after a couple. Two great beers.

Absolutely. I actually liked it more than the FBS but that's just me

Probably my favorite Porter. Such a nice roasty, campfire taste. Absolutely delicious. And a silky smooth mouth feel.

    Sexiest beer ever.

Big porter fan myself and Founders Porter is a personal favorite. Still like FBS a little more though.

I'm not a fresh hound, especially with porters, but when his beer is 4 months old it is just ordinary

Delicious Porter. And apparently a lot if people on this site love this brew because I got like 15 likes when I posted a picture if this the other day.

Old reliable. Delicious. Consistant. Easy to find. Priced right. 12oz. Not much more you can ask of a beer.

It needs to be barrel aged.

This is the only beer I continuously buy cases of. Very sexy porter.

I like it, but I'm not the biggest fan of stouts/porters ... HOWEVER.

Even being a Michigan boy, I prefer Edmund Fitzgerald. Oh baby..

You're telling me you can feel caffeine from beer? There is hardly any in there...

No, it really doesn't. Not everything needs to be stuffed into wood

    Fair enough.

"I'd like it if it were barrel aged."

Founders, GL Eddy Fitz and Smuttynose Robust are 3 FANTASTIC porters imo.

A ba version would be interesting, but rly as a not super expensive six pack its amazing. I don't want to see it be barrel aged for five bucks a bottle, a sixer is amazing.

I agree with most. I loved it, but FBS was better

Had this discussion last night. FBS has that nice chocolate up front, but its not there by the end, wheres as the Porter is solid beer all the way through. Porter wins in a close upset.

I'm a huge fan as well. One of two beers that is nearly always in my fridge. The other is Two Hearted, but that one sometimes gets pushed aside by seasonal IPAs. Nothing I've had yet pushes Founders Porter aside.

    A+++

If I could get it locally it would have a permanent spot in the fridge.
