Yup, those four years I took french in high school somewhat paid off. I can only word a few sentences now, but I can kind of pronounce Belgian brewers. Hell yeah!

I've seen the pronunciation on their website, but I don't think I've ever said Schlafly correctly.

Love all the responses. However, while this was not originally a thread of subversive attempts to further my own agenda... how do you pronounce "Piraat"? I received a free tulip glass from a bad-ass liquor store in the Bay Area, and when I went to thank the dude, I said thanks for the... pi-rat...pea-ret? After either attempt he looked at me like I was a dyslexic turrets patient recently escaped from the asylum. How do you pronounce Piraat?

    From the website:

Some new to this beer are unsure how to pronounce Duvel, which is Flemish for Devil. Is it ‘Doov’l or Doo-velle? The answer is yes, both are correct. The Flemish pronunciation is ‘Doov’l, while the French speaking Belgians favor Doo-velle.

Us Chicagoland folk love it when people call it 3-12 instead of 3-1-2.

I also used to pronounce Beatification like that, until I saw a video review with the correct pronunciation.

Not really a pronunciation thing, but it is an old joke to refer to yuengling as "that chinese beer" (ying-ling).

That brewery is deserving of your choice of words for your phonetic pronunciation, Sir.

Somewhat related, but in new world wine, the word meritage is mispronounced 99%of the time. It should be pronounced just as heritage is, not 'merahhtahhhhge'.
