Beers that you regret purchasing...

    I'm a big fan of youngs double chocolate stout. So I figured I'd give the well's and young's "banana bread beer" a try. That's where I messed up. Couldn't even finish the 4 back. Had to give them away to an unexpected victim.


    -Any one else have high hopes for a beer only to be let down?

    Dogfish Head Ta Henket.I buy every new DFH brew I see, simply because 90 minute was the beer that got me into the craft scene.

    I know that Ta Henket is what it is, but I didnt really enjoy it at all. Oh well, its just money. Tick!

    Yeah dfh is normally fantastic. Wasn't a fan of their Midas touch either.

    blue point oatmeal stout. Very thin and a little bitter. It had this overbearing aroma... took me a few days to figure it out that it was coconut... and not in a good way... more like a suntan lotion way.
    Tried to offload it on my husband. even he couldn't do it. down the drain it went.

    Cucumber Saison was tasty.

    I regret buying Belgo Anise IRS.
    Oh, and Wild Blue. Wild Blue is the reason I always check reviews before buying beer now.

    I regret purchasing a year old Double Jack! Rolled the dice and didn't see the invisible bottled date until I got home. Tasted pretty good, will need to get a fresh one!

    If I can't find a single thing I like about a beer I have no qualms feeding it to the sink. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen (cigar city sea bass was another one that my in-sink-erator gladly guzzled)
