    Three reasons why I will be crying all day at this event...

    1. The beer is fucking delicious
    2. I will be poor from blowing investing all my money in beer
    3. My girlfriend will break up with me because of reason #2.

    Can't wait to see the threads afterward about how disappointed everyone was from the tap list.

    2012's was awesome, yet everyone bitched about it.

    Technically, it hits distro April 1, but yes, the ticketed release is in late March. That was also posted before specifics on KBS's release were known.

    I think this might still be rumor, but the Lagunitas taproom is supposed to open in Chicago on 4/20.

    My guess (hope) is that they'll throw some sort of grand opening party as well... never been to the black party and would love to go--but I've been looking forward to Lagunitas for a while!

    Basically this. I was one of said complainers, I'll admit, because it was more of a Black IPA party at a time before I discovered a love for the style, whereas in 2011, they had BB FIS, which alone would've made the party for me. Everyone knows that they'll bust out KBS and CBS like they do every year, which is awesome and makes me feel like an entitled asshole for complaining in the first place, but I just know some of the stuff they had on in 2011, which made 2012 seem blah by comparison.

    This year though, no complaining from me. I'll take my KBS and CBS and shut up because there are those less fortunate than I to be living ten minutes from the brewery.
