I fucking love this beer. I also think it might be my favorite beer label ever.

A 12 pack for about 12 bucks is a hell of a deal!

I picked up a case on the day it was released from Weyerbacher and was told it wasn't meant to be aged. I totally disagree, that one got way better as it sat. (IMO)

It's been green with the little yellow stars and the goat for as long as I can remember. It really is enjoyable, and its 5.99 a 12 pack.

Like many of you I am drinking Hopslam. Good IPA no doubt but I never get why people go so crazy for this, lots of other good DIPAs out there

Me, too. I'll probably spend a good chunk of spring break in the Triangle area, so I was thinking of driving out to the Foothills brewery to check it out then.

Proof that beer is highly subjective. Haters... come on down... Just had my first Hopslam (3 weeks old), and was underwhelmed. Not bad, just not that special. No picture - you all now what it looks like

I've really been digging double IPA's lately (Sucks was excellent, and I loved Heady Topper), but this was just not my style. More of a Barleywine than an IPA to me. Thick, boozy and mild bitterness. Note: I usually like a strong hop aroma/taste with low(er) bitterness. Nice dank/underripe mango hop aroma, and fairly drinkable for 10% (especially just out of the fridge before it warmed). I'll probably have another one this year (whenever I don't like my first pour of a highly rated/hyped beer, I always try another), but I expect this may be a 1x per year pour for me going forward.

That one always reminded me of the old Bartles & Jaymes ads/commercials. I like that label as well!
