True. No way to please anybody. But if they are really trying to get their locals to have more chance at having this the limit needs to be less than 6. High bottle limits lend themselves to hoarding by most people. I leave work at 4PM. I had a friend get their at 3PM and he texted me saying that they had sold out about 30 mins before. Seems kind off excessive.

Personally, because the bottle counts are so small on these releases, I would announce day-of. No pre-release info would change the whole dynamic.

Must have missed this... Still doesn't speak the case limit however.

Yep it would keep the beer in the local community. Or at least somewhat.

But at the same time, I am sure its nice when locals are out of town or travel to smaller releases. It's nature of the beast.

well you should be more informed of the Chicago "crew" as a fellow Chicago BA i think it's one the doucheyest (sp) places in the craft beer scene bar none....

Apparently it wasn't but if it was, I don't care. That's life, it happens. Limited releases do this, will always do it.

I talked to a few people that had traveled for the event. It was nice discussing and sharing beer with them. That's part of the fun of these events to me.

I agree. I was just being playful, posts never truly reflect tone. Chicago clearly has breweries of their own.

    Cheers!

Are you implying he should personally know every BA user in a metropolitan area that contains 10 million people?

Right on. Doesn't really matter where said person was from; it's representative of the current culture more than any one specific area of the country. Hoarders gotta hoard...

I love the guys at Perennial and think they make some great beers. Hopefully they reduce the bottle limit for future releases so that more people get to share in the goodness. At least they were smart enough to ration out the kegs so that locals got a few more chances to try the beer. I'm sure they will make the beer again, and in greater volume.

no I'm not implying that but we know there's a lot of shitheads in this area when it comes to craft beer, I have traveled the country for beer and I know you have traveled far as well and I met and seen more shitheads in the chicago area then other areas, it's just my opinion which I am entitled too...

and I agree with your opinion on Phil, Corey and the rest of the Perennial crew, good stuff, good people, etc....

Who drives a white KIA Soul in the Chicago BA community? I can be more descriptive of said person if necessary. That would be a good place to start, as he was working with the "out of place" mules that have been mentioned here and the other thread. I posted this morning regarding one of the culprits and what myself and others witnessed, only for it to get deleted and a BM sent from a Chicago BA accusing me of lies and being libel. I watched this all unfold from 3pm-5pm.

I know locals here are upset, lesson is make it out OR be part of the scene and other locals will share their allocations with you. And for the love of god, just because you are from said city does it mean you are entitled.
