    near beer tragedy: victory at sea bottle fell out of my car yet mercifully did NOT break on the driveway. whew!

    PAPPY = PRICELESS - I think i might have to have some of my 20 year tonight - Just traded for another 20yr bottle thats on its way ! Cant bring myself to crack my 23 year !

    So, here's what's up:
    • On the left - yep, you guessed it - I'm all set for a side-by-side tasting of the three very best tripels (can't argue that, can ya?) - had a Westmalle the other day and it reminded me how much I love that beer, but I also love the Karmeliet, and the La Fin du Monde was the first tripel I ever had (and a favorite as well), so let's go - a battle of the titans lined up for some point this weekend...
    • In the middle, 4-packs of the 2013 Bigfoot barleywine from Sierra Nevada, and Marooned on Hog Island, an oyster stout, which impressed me with its flavors and drinkability.
    • Lastly, on the right - going international now - an excellent English old ale I stumbled upon a few days ago - Thomas Hardy's Ale, and my first ever Italian beer, the Verdi Imperial stout.
    Should be a great weekend. Wish you all the same. Cheers!

    No pic as I was quick to bust into these but I got a "surprise' no strings attached, just cause you're awesome" sixer of HopSlam from my trading buddy aaron46310!! How friggin cool is that?!! I only mentioned I have never had it before and next thing I know I have this tasty treat at my doorstep! An awesome trader and all around cool guy...looking forward to doing more trades with him and thinking about what I will be sending in HIS surprise box....shhhhhhhhh...... :-)
