I take it this is an essay where some rather colourful content would not be a welcome addition then :stuck_out_tongue:

It does actually, I don't know a lot about it, what I can remember upon death the body was seen as very little to do with the person that it once was... I think.. but surely a few beers would help you regress lol

I agree with Bevis. It does sound fascinating. Recently I dragged the family around the megalitghic temples in Malta and despite the initial moans of discord by the end of it they were actually all rivetted. Archaeological detours are always on the cards when I'm on holiday. And beer and wine runs too of course.:grinning:

That's actually right lol  It was all about community.
Both of you, going to see the sites, and digging (what i'll be doing for 4 weeks this summer) is one thing, writing an essay on it is another :stuck_out_tongue:

You just need to practise your essay writing. Once you do about a dozen or so it'll just be old hat.

weekend draws to a close and I think I'll crack open 1 more beer. Been decorating all day but managed a bottle of Kernel IPA - Red on a break a few hours back.

yesterday was a day out at the rugby and on cask I sampled Salopian - Hoptwister, Vale - Edgars Golden, Cairngorn - Roggen (rye), Downton - Mad Hare and Cheddar - Bitter Bully. The Hoptwister and the Roggen were the best of this bunch, Bitter Bully was OK - the other two a little bland.

these were supplemented by a few bottled offerings from Kernel - IPA - Simcoe/Centennial and 1890 London Export Stout and also a bottle of Magic Rock - Bearded Lady (a RIS at 10.5%). All were good pickings!

    soon be next weekend :stuck_out_tongue:

The essay writing is fine, the getting-stuff-from-books-to-put-in is the bit I hate lol.

I'm a bit of an old dog and just love the sensation of skimming and letting my fingers flip through a fan of pages. No matter how much I embrace technology (and I do) I will always be a digital dissident.

Just had the Celt lager - frankly it was a bit shit....something seriously flawed in that brew. Oh well, I've got a Lion stout lined up.

I'm going to have the Wincle Wibbly Wallaby before the weekend washes away.

Was talking to my dad and apparently Wincle have been going 'Donkey years' and he was a regular at one of the pubs they supplied near Jodrell Bank, strange that I don't remember or haven't come across them before

You never know everything that's out there. I find that hardly a week goes by where I don't learn about a brewery I hadn't heard of before.

To round off the Cannes like weekend weather I'm going to retire with a Rothaus Tannen Zapfle. Notes of it, and many others, coming soon.

Nice - I had one of these when I was in Germany recently. A decent brew.

Currently supping on a Lion stout to round out the weekend....

It would be alot nicer without the deadlines :stuck_out_tongue:
Maybe they're one of these one's that lay dormant/closed even, for ages then revived themselves a few years ago?
