Specs never had a limit on Stone Mint Chocolate stout as far as I know? Over the course of 3 separate trips, I bought nearly a whole case myself. Ended up trading most of it away.

Label approvals have been showing up as close as the day of release lately.

 

Whole Foods Montrose just got some according to a buddy of mine.

 

I was there back in the early 90s. As the market was over saturating itself.

Maybe that'll happen here so we can get past the speculation phase and drink some beer.

This is why FW and Founders are so important to this market. They both need to do it right.

 

Can anyone confirm whether Spec's had any left over lunchtime?

 

Sold out is what I heard.

 

Perhaps there was not a limit, but 15 minutes earlier the Spec's beer Twitter said they got a very small amount back in and it wouldn't last long. Instantly Azzying a whole case into your cart in front of the beer guy probably would not have gone over very well, hence why they waited until his back was turned.

 

I'm not chasing this beer. I'll only chase Jester King.

 

picked one up at waugh and was told the other inner loop locations got cases as well.

 

None delivered to Fort Worth today. Pretty sure that the BEK guys are mentally checked out based on the excuses I'm hearing from beer folk

Sorry to break up the nostalgia fest you old timers but I believe all you folks in Houston and Austin were lying about this release and just posted pics from other regions thread or photoshopped the 2012 dates onto pics of past releases. You are all liars and must repent or send me proof (in the form of bottles of Abyss both 2012 and past vintages for comparison)

Eh, I was downtown on business this morning so I went by Specs on Smith... was able to score a bottle.

Dammit, I was just by that area earlier today!!!

 

Lasted longer than usual I see

 

WTF, I called this morning and was told they were out.

 

I went at like 10:30AM... I have a feeling the only reason I was able to get a bottle is because it was the store manager who went to the back to check for me. If the person in charge of the beer department had been there I have a feeling he'd have probably told me they were sold out.

 

That's what happened to me here in Austin at one of the Specs...they were telling people they were out the day before. I went in and happened to know the store manager who transferred from another Specs and asked her to ask the beer guy if he could grab me one. Magically an Abyss appeared...
