Trying to land one for a tasting coming up on the 9th. I've had one possability, but nothing confirmed. So what's it trading for recently? I'd really like to land this one and I don't think this is something crazy to get but I haven't seen too much of it for trade. This goes for any year really. Thanks
Should go $4$ for other limited release beers with similar bottle counts and desirability/pedigree. I don't have any since I didn't go to the release but I know that's how I'd trade it. Probably just a case where you need to ask for it, rather than tons of people showing up to acquire them specifically for trade who then inundate the forums.
I'm not much help here but I just had it last night and I have to say it was excellent. Worth trading for.
Understood. I thought I offered Black Note, Cuvée St Gilloise and Cuvée Des Jonquilles. I'm talking back and forth with someone about a bottle but u just wasn't sure what it has gone for previously. Wanted to check before I give up my entire stock of something.
Doubt the latter two will get it done. Black Note certainly would have prior to the 4 packs, but now, I honestly don't know. As pointed out earlier you have plenty of stuff on your Gots that will get it done. You're going after a very limited release in an area without a ton of them, so you're probably going to have to put something decent on the table. BASC typically trades for other low thousand bottle count brewery releases like Hunahpu, Hill Farmstead, an Allagash Coolship, etc.
Not Lindley since it's distributed to the same are. Kentucky Dark Star your gonna have to add to it to get it done. IMHO
Lindley probably would, but you have the whole venn diagram thing going on there... KDS - try it - I've had both and they are very comparable qualitiy, but BASC has a much bigger "name" than KDS.
I had someone here I was talking with and in a frantic cleaning of my inbox, I deleted our talks. He was looking for Gilgamesh. If you are reading this and I talked to you about it, please get back in touch with me.
I would think the St. Guilloise would be a pretty even trade. Considering the difficulty of acquiring Cantillon in the U.S. these days and the fact that even though N.C. doesn't have a lot of releases, almost everyone who got BASC has 4 or more of them, it shouldn't be that hard. I can tell you I prefer the st guilloise to the BASC and I would do that trade if I had BASC and didn't have a Cantillon supply chain. I would wait, if your offering up what you just offered it just takes the right person imho.
