Man, USPS fucked that box UP! But thats why you have to pack like a crazy person, because you just never know. And yes, that packing job is weak. I had someone send me beer once packed exactly like that, and guess what? A bottle broke! A box without bubble wrap involved just makes no sense

Over a hundred trades, eh? Isn't it VERY illegal to send through USPS?

I actually like USPS, primarily because they'll deliver a box no matter what (case in point). None of that "we lost your label" BS you get with FedEx/UPS.

And you can ship liquids with USPS. FedEx and UPS open boxes if they hear sloshing.

Well it looks like this guy didn't pass his placement test. Onto beer shipping 097. He can take 101 next semester.

USPS delivered a box from a Belgian shop last week: one bottle had broken, and the cardboard was saturated with beer, and the package stank of beer (good thing it was taped all to heck). But yeah, they delivered it. That said, the illegality of shipping booze across state lines would give me pause.

Of course... but if they never have a reason to check...

Guy packs like shit, uses USPS that treats their packages harsher than UPS/FedEx.....there is no way this is his first break in a hundred trades.

I would say to give him a chance to respond and make things right. If he refuses to do so, at least out him here so people have the opportunity to think twice before trading with him in the future

I always line my boxes with a kitchen trash bag before I begin packing, and tie a big knot in the bag as the last step before taping the box shut. That way, no matter what happens, any leaks/breaks/freezes should stay fairly contained.

I sent him a new BM with a direct request to please replace the bottle. And a link to this thread. Hopefully he does the right thing.

Good, thats the right thing to do and like everyone else is saying, if he refuses, add him to the bad trader list.

Even on my first trade, I packed my box better than that!

Maybe this is going too far, but I put every bottle in its own ziplock bag. They cost very little in the grand scheme of trading materials and costs and it only takes a bit of extra time, so why not?

I'll join ya on that bet. This box got thumped hard and the blame will prob go there. I pack shit knowing this may happen so the contents as least stand a chance. This one stinks.
