For the DFW guys v.2.0

I've been thinking the same thing for about a year now, I just didn't want to start a shit storm. I realize its a highly regarded beer but I'm not wasting my time with it. If I happen to get lucky and find a few for a couple trading partners then great otherwise I could care less, more for everyone else. I'd honestly rather chase down Boxers.

 

Really? That 4(or was it 5?) year Abyss vertical we had at your place somewhat contradicts your statement. I remember it being one of the highlights of the night... shit storm started.

 

Just got off the phone with Kye and he JUST got a case in... on your marks... (screw set!!!)... GO!

*1 bottle limit, so it should be there a good minute(literally a minute).

and having just spoke with kye, you have to call to have them hold it.

 

I just felt a gush of wind from everyone mad dashing it to their phones. Yup, he's got one w/ my name on it.

I knew you guys would enjoy it more than just myself, that's the main reason I opened it. You never heard me raving how good it was. For the record, I did enjoy the '08 the most but regardless, I'm glad to have shared it and hope you guys enjoyed it more than myself.

There were several other highlights that night that stood out more. Us beating those other two chumps in pool being tops

Funny, while there, I heard them say, "Kye, line ...." 3 times.

 

I ended up going to Whole Foods to get some lunch and to verify personally that WF was not getting any Abyss. As I walked into the beer area, the BEK guy was stocking the shelves. I asked him if it was true that this Whole Foods store was not getting any Abyss. He looked at me with a grin and said, "nope..and they still have some left in back". Kye came out with a bottle for me. That was at about 12:45 p.m. I was told they had 3 bottles left out of a total of two cases that they received.

 

Guess I spoke too soon - feel free to shitstorm me, Brad. However, there's still a limit to my beer chasing. Willing to leave work in the middle of the day? No. Willing to call a store & pick up later? Yes.

 

I totally used to call in sick on DR day, haha. Back then that was probably overkill...

Beer guy just texted me that it's in. He said he had one set aside for me but since I've been taken care of at another store... I let it go to some other more needy BA. Go get 'em guys!

Heading there right after work. Hopefully they will have a bottle left. Specs on Hulen is out I'm told.

 

Total in FW tells me they'll get a case of abyss Tuesday. She also said she was setting bottles aside for people who call ahead.

 

Don't wanna mislead...I did visit Fern this morning. So I'm set with my two. Still, good lookin out, BA.

 

Looks like FW got more than Dallas... Not complaining just an observation.

 

Oh I bet (no B5 sorry) Dallas got more. Only 5 confirmed cases (Halls, Kings, Specs on Hulen, Total, CM) so far for take home. I bet the big Specs on Bryant Irving got one so that's 6. Add Flying Saucer, World of Beer, and maybeee GMan (although it would surprise me if they did) thats 8-9. Oh yeah Whole Foods... So 9-10.

 

Beginning to regret those I drank already, randomly picked up here and there across the country in the last few months. Figured it would be like last year and have plenty of time in tx to pick up like 6. Oops.
