I'm still holding some Dissident for a trade of that.

If bb25 comes out and Houston is slow on distribution, I might have to come back up lol

Who knows... I ended up with 3 BBXXIVs 2 months after Houston got it.

Deschutes really needs to fire their TX distros after this whole debacle. I'm still convinced this stuff sat in a non temp controlled warehouse for months. Anyone else notice all the Dissident labels being completely f'ed up, btw? Or was that just me?

Labels in multiple places looked like they'd gotten wet and dried a few times.

A couple Inner Loop Krogers and Central Market were supposed to get a shipment Monday the 4th but, It never came - They might have some today. Sadly only a single case each.

I had no clue this was gonna be so hard to get, Or else I woulda been in line at Spec's on Smith - Hope I didn't miss out on this one.

Every single Tx bottle I've seen was that way. I got a bottle that was from Colorado and it had zero label issues. In short... Excellent point.

    FWIW my labels were fine.

Has anyone asked Deschutes if they were expecting a staggered release? I can understand, if not agree, with delays in it hitting the shelves, but why the month long release? I guess I'm curious to know why it took multiple weeks for BEK to deliver 100 cases?

All of the Dissident that I have looked exactly like that. The Abyss on the other hand didnt really look that bad to me.

I thought all of the distro in DFW for Abyss occurred last week, but I spoke with a store owner in Dallas county yesterday who was "99% sure" that he would be receiving a case this Thursday. Of course they are all spoken for :slight_frown:

I have a friend that said he could get me a growler or half-growler of Abyss. Message me if interested

I went into the Whole Foods Bellaire and grabbed a guy who wasn't the beer guy and asked him about Abyss--I had been told by another Whole Foods beer guy that the Bellaire store would receive some before the weekend.

The guy went into the back to talk to the beer guy. He was gone a few minutes and came back and said that they'd be getting 1-2 cases this week, but probably only 1 case and here's the kicker--he said that whole case would go to people who worked in the store. I'm not sure if this non-beer guy was supposed to admit that, but he did.

I know these guys get paid little, and I'm okay with the beer guy getting dibs on 1-2 bottles. But it's ridiculous when the entire case doesn't even make it to the consumer.

I'm sure if this is brought up with management that things would change.

Yeah, I thought about it but had to be somewhere.

EDIT: Actually, I'd prefer that stores just make a list of interested buyers before release and then go down the list until inventory is gone. Stores in the last place I lived did this and I was able to score two bottles of Founders CBS and plenty of KBS by getting on the lists early.

It's almost like thanking your boss for his candor when he tells you "no raise."

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather people tell me that they're fucking me rather than lying about it. That's why there is more than 1 store. Fuck em right back with your business.

Went to the HEB on W. Alabama at Dunlavy... the beer manager said they're getting it, but said something about having UPC problems holding them back. She got my name and number and said she'll call me when it comes in. We'll see if she keeps her word.

Picked up 2 bottles today at HEB Burleson. I had him hold me 2 bottles so I don't know if there is any left.

ya lying is dumb. i dont care if its reserved for someone more "loyal" than I, but id rather be told that than "we're out" when I saw a guy with two

And I thought stashing some was just a perk of the business.
