Good Evening seekers of the stouts and avengers of the ales! I'm feeling like this thread could use some elements from the NBS spice cabinet. It was a beautiful day here in central NC, but it got a bit cold when I was coaching outside from 3-6 pm. I came home enjoyed an Oberon, went and coached MS baseball, then retired for the evening. I grabbed that bottle of KBS 12 from lantern out of the fridge at like 630. I sipped on it for over an hour. The vanilla really came out, and mellowed the booze out as it warmed.

Right now, Im staring down a pint of FBS. What is in your glasses on this fine (and chilly) evening?

Just finished an Arctic Pranzer Wolf. My wife got mad at me yesterday because I didn't want to pull any sours out of the "stock" so she went beer shopping for herself today and came home with a 4 pack of Monk's Cafe Flemish Sour, think I will steal one of those in a bit.

Had to pop my KBS cherry. This is a 2011. Have some 2012 coming. Judging by how this one tastes...I can't wait for more!

Continuing my "small beer" tasting with black art's black and SA Black lagers, the black art is meh, Sammy's taking the bad taste away now however

Finishing my last bottle of Shiner Cheer, just to get it out of the fridge. Amazing how much stronger the peach flavors have become in only a few months - I figured a fruit flavor would fade rather than improve.

That's likely it for the night - long day of meetings tomorrow.

We have a winner and you will all be the envy of every stout lover on BA. Please tell us what you all liked most, JEALOUS! Tonight Prima Pils, Noble Pils(for me I prefer Noble Pils), Hoptimum, Bigfoot, and finishing with The Long Shot Five Crown Imperial Stout.

I'll be having my bottle of KBS for sure after I get out of class, and I may open up my Consecration or a bottle of Lost Abbey Serpent's Stout. Should make for a good Tuesday.
