I dunno why, but hoppy ales always seem to fit as an enjoyable beverage with watching TV. Cheers.

Drove 8 hours to Russian River from Orange County and they are out of the Younger tonight: Temptation will have to do.

You have to love SF beer week!!! Just had Sierra 30 anniversary Ken and Fritz stout and there 30 anny
Bourbon barrel ale on draft at my local pub and ended my night with a 2009 Rochefort 10 which was pretty yummy!!!!

 

Its 3am and 30 degrees where I am at and I need something to keep me warm.


And why you ask is a nice gentlemen as myself up at this ungodly hour drinking this delicious beer. Its because I needed to throw this beautiful 10lb piece of meat(pork shoulder) on the smoker for its 10-12hrs smoke ride into deliciousness.


So around 1-3pm, I will be eating the best pulled polled sandwich you can image with something Hoppy.

 

I still need to get an egg. I have more venison than I know what to do with!

 

Hands down Best thing I ever bought in my whole life. You can smoke,grill and bake on it, in any kind of weather and it will hold temp for hrs.

 

Finishing up a 2009 Ivan the Terrible. Amazing RIS. Doesn't have too much in the area of barrel characteristics, but really a unique take on the style. Got a 2010 in the cellar still. Might have that one sooner than later.
