Hello, new here although I joined a long time ago. I have two group C tickets, and will be coming, with a friend, from Peoria, IL for my first DLD. I'm stoked.

Is anyone else coming from Peoria or nearby (<1 hr) and interested in carpooling, or maybe doing a limo/towncar? I think we'd rather be back home Saturday night, but could be problematic depending on how much we sample.

    Thanks,

    Andy

Ghan-buri-ghan reference? You know it's obscure when the character didn't make it into the movies...

A friend in the know says all my clever guesswork was for naught. The surprise band is High On Fire. He had the Melvins scoop weeks ahead of time, so hopefully this is just as solid. And here I thought my obscure sleuthing skills were on point...

Got the ticket for the beer originally.. as of today this turned into a fantastic metal show.. with the bonus of getting some sweet brews

They had bracelets for the XV party. They probably had them for DLD as well.

VIP, from what I've been told, is only offered to bars and establishments that sell a high volume of 3 floyds products, and prominent people in the beer community. Kind of sad that someone with a VIP bracelet is selling their allotment of Dark Lord.

    I chuckled at that, too.

Although, it is a pretty cardboard carrier. They had'em at XV, and they are sweet. Holds 4 bombers, black with silver lettering... nice stuff.

Seriously. If anyone really wants one for a weirdo collection or as cockrings or something i think i still have mine from XV and DLD, just PM me, you can have'em.

Yeah, I saw that too. High On Fire is a personal favorite, so I'm pretty damn stoked.

You weren't the only one. That was my immediate thought after seeing Ghan Jovi too.

For those of us not particularly into metal, is there a band scheduled to play that would be a bit more accessible than the others?

I think not. But it's not like you can't get away from the music.

My intent was to get more familiar with the bands playing which could make the experience more enjoyable, not like the event isn't fun enough as it is, of course.
