    Pretty unfair question considering not every brewery is distributed across all 50 states. Who am I to say a brewery in Kansas or Colorado is the best, when many haven't tried it. Or how can I be sure when i have never drank a Founders or Bells product? Not trying to be a Delta Bravo here, I just think you cannot get the exact answer when distribution is so off-centered ...

    Founders. Perfect combo of everything. Great, consistently good beer at a good price and you generally don't have to drive 4 hours or fly away to get it.

    CA = Alpine
    Above CA = Deschutes
    Far from CA = Three Floyds
    A bit further from CA = Founders
    Very far from CA = Portsmouth

    Perhaps we need to have another brewery tournament.

    It's impossible for me to name just one as the overall best. I'm tempted to say Bell's based on their stouts and IPAs, but I've never had anything sour from them; same goes for Hill farmstead (although their saisons have been terrific). I'm tempted to say Russian River, but they don't make a stout or barleywine. I'm tempted to say New Glarus, since I love both their beer and their business model. In the end, I'm just going to go with my local favorite:

    Not exactly my views but damn close. RR, Alchemist, Bell's, Founders, and FFF are all great.

    Man, it's hard for me not to say Sierra Nevada. I know it's west coast dominant, but it's going to be huge when they start brewing on the east coast soon.

    I'd go overwhelmingly with Firestone Walker, with Russian River, Dogfish Head, and Cigar City behind them. I know lots of people pick Founders and FFF, so I really need to try more of their stuff.

    There are a number of great breweries throughout the US. I'll say Surly because I enjoy 90% of their brews and they are local to me.

    The answer is absolutely Hill Farmstead. My favorite beers in 3 different styles come from them (DIPA - Abner, American Porter - Everett, Saison - Civil Disobedience #1), and almost everything I've had from them falls somewhere on the spectrum between great and phenomenal. Anyone who doesn't say Hill Farmstead just hasn't had their beers yet.

    I can narrow it down to 3... can't go much further than that, though.

    Deschutes, Great Divide, and New Glarus (in no particular order).
