Dark Horse PT5

Nah...DH is one of my favs but they dont seem to really give a s...t...bums me out...other states had pt5 well before it hit anywhere in Mich...

 

As stated, your beef might be with distributors and not Dark Horse. Also, the stuff is going to be all over very, very soon. I imagine you'll be able to get as much as you want. You might just have to be a little bit patient.

And I just thought it was cool that PT5 and DCT came in the same week. I should have been complaining instead.

 

Don't forget that Pt5 is part of their stout series. Distributors and markets might have lots of Tres and Fore and want to work through those before releasing Pt5.

Yeah last year I think the most I paid for a single bottle was 3.99, this year I have seen anywhere from 4.69-4.99... out of control.

 

I heard exactly that from my local beer shop last year, here in Chicago. The manager told me that the distributor wanted to sell out of the Fore before they released the PT5. Smoked beers aren't as popular as other styles, so the Fore sat on his shelf, and PT5 sat at the distributor.

If anyone in MI is looking for some, I'd suggest trying to trade for it. You might even be able to set up an IP. I just arranged a trade for some PT5 and Double Crooked Tree. It took a couple months for either to find their way to Chicago the last few years.

 

Anyone in MI looking for either of these can just sit tight for a week or two or go to Dark Horse and buy it from them.

 

I remember back in the day when we could get it here in Ohio and at $2.99 a bottle. Oh how times change. Excited to see Plead the 5th tho.

 

D&W Fresh Mart in kzoo had it for $12/4 on Wednesday.

 

Oh Im entirely content to enjoy the case of BB Plead I have...just find it strange that other states get Michigan beers before Michigan does...DH isnt the only one...it may indeed be the distrib however my good friend who works for Rave informed me otherwise...

 

GB Russos in GR has a couple 4 packs of the PT5 and one of the DCT left as of 20 minutes ago
