Gotta love that BB HF, but damn, after trying the Abyss '12 last night...hard to say which is better, but they're neck-and-neck.

Fresh BBHF is way better but my 10 & 11 Abyss tastes better to me right now overall.

 

I always wish I picked up two. I reacted so fast I think my hands were on the bottle I was even conscious of what I was looking at. Haha I did grab two but I'm on a budget and out one back.
Anyway there's about 8 bottles left at the HEB in SA on Potranco and 1604.

 

BBHF should be a yearly offering so it can be pounded with wreckless abandon. Abyss can stay once a year.

I wasn't overly impressed by BBHF. It was good, but nothing special. Abyss (after the best after date) kills it IMO.

 

Cool thing about me finding it is I didn't even try to find it and it just so happened to be there. Actually walked into the HEB to buy late valentines day flowers for my gf. Haha

 

That makes a SA, Austin and Houston sighting for today. I thought The Abyss sightings would be over by now.

 

There are a lot of great BBA beers out there. I just had Joseph James BBA RIS and fresh it's better than both BBA Hellfighter and Abyss. It may even give aged Abyss a run for its money.

I wanted to try Uinta Labarynth, but I had to drive and the ABV was way higher. Should be a good match for Abyss.
