Im going to be in town, staying at the Gramercy Park Hotel, for the next 5 days. Anywhere good for beer in this area? Thanks for any info. Cheers.

For a spot very close, you can start off at The Gramercy Tavern, which also serves excellent food, albeit pricey. And a short walk away is The Hop Devil Grill, as well as several other East Village area options. Enjoy your trip !

Please see the concierge or front desk staff at the hotel. They can provide you with some great recommendations in the area.

Gramercy Tavern does have some nice things on their list including Lou Pepe Framboise and (non-beerwise) Reisetbauer Ginger Eau de Vie which is really cool and definitely worth trying. Also they have some board faves like Winnimere for cheese so you can do some pairings. Sitting at the bar is really fun, if a bit expensive. Eleven Madison Park is also very close with a similar environment. If you're looking to take a longish walk Blind Tiger is nice, but only earlier in the night as it gets painfully crowded especially closer to the weekend.

You are not too far from Rattle N Hum which is a pretty good craft beer bar (close to Herald Square). I would also recommend Drop Off Service in the East Village ($3 off during happy hour which is open - 8:00 PM everyday).
