Cant tell if that's sarcasm, but the Retribution is a BCS Killer IMO. Similar flavors, less sweet.

After the initial rush around noon, the crowd thinned out and it become much more pleasant at Beer Temple. Really appreciate being able to taste some beers I may have otherwise never been able to have in my life. I hope people enjoyed the Heady Topper and Elevated I donated.

Who was the douche that took his bottle back because it was "too crowded"? I mean, you donated it. Leave it there.

    Was that the 08 BCS?

I was going to try that, and I opted for something already open. I went through the line again and asked for the 08 BCS and the guy pouring said, "the guy took it back, what else would you like?" I responded by telling him to surprise me. He ended up pouring me some King Henry. Man was I shocked. I must say thank you to the guy who took is 08 back. If he hadn't taken his bottle back, I wouldn't have known King Henry was being poured. So thanks douche!

Yup, it was the 08 BCS. We must have been there at the same time and just not ran into each other. I was standing in line at the counter about to get my King Henry pour and he asked for it back.

It was a great event, and is a store owned/operated by people who like beer, which is great. I donated the fantasia, cherry adam, bb4d, sang noir, black albert, and fruet. it was my pleasure to donate them to the cause and let others try these beers. and no, it wasnt me who took beer back. however, i can see the frustration in "donating" beer and then only getting a small size pour of your own beer. compared to all other beer shares, the donating system is unique and stands on its own. not that its a bad thing, just different and novel. also with the crowds the way they were, it was hard even to get a tiny pour of one thing, and then go back to the back of the line again, and repeat this many times over. I left to get lunch, came back, and it was less crowded which was better. and the owner posted that he knew it would be crowded and apologized in advance. so no big deal here at all, but i can see why someone would be a little frustrated, but its based on no fault of anybodies at all.

also, this is a mesage to hopsmatt and to markmcconv, i know for a fact that the person who took his bottle back brought multiple bottles, and at least 1 limited bottle from across the country was opened and shared, and the "douche" had no qualms or regrets about it being shared. how many bottles did you guys bring to donate yesterday? im sure even if its none, you have incentive to lie and say some, or if it really was none, just be a man and say none and leave it at that.

Never tried to say I brought anything dick. I wanted to point out what a douche move it was to take the bottle back. I brought nothing as I was up from Kentucky. It's whatever. Not fighting on a forum.

what im trying to say is unless you were in his position of bringing bottles, and then fighting to get a taste of your own bottle, you are not in a position to criticize him. end of story.

Thanks everyone, I cannot begin to express my sincere appreciation for how kind, generous and understanding everyone was yesterday. I'm glad people seemed to have a good time. I know it wasn't perfect, but I promise everything I did was in an attempt to maximize everyone's enjoyment.

    Thank you!!!!!

It was just a shitty thing to do. That's all. I don't even like BCS.
