I have bottle #1910 in my cellar. Opening it in 2 weeks or so.

Still no word from Great Divide? I live like 2 miles away, if mine is infected I'm going to the brewery to get my refund (or BA Ruffian as a replacement, which apparently they're having production issues, but no idea what that's about)

Good news everyone! I heard back from Jaroed at GD today (we had some sort of communications problem which very likely was my fault) and he was super nice about everything. Top notch customer service over there at GD!

I am sipping on bottle #1801 and it is fantastic as usual. I have probably had 30 bottles of this over the last few months and all have been great. If anyone thinks they have infected bottles please bm me and I will trade you some of my locals for what you think is worthless beer.

I shared a bottle of 2011 BA Yeti (forgot the number) with Jeffo the other night and it was most definitely infected.
Being big time Yeti fans this was not easy on us.
Smelled horrible, tasted slightly sour (check out my avatar) like dark cherries and a oxidized metallic/ cardboard taste to it.
With tears in my eyes and pain in my heart I had to let this one go down the drain.

So what was the answer you got? Are they aware of infection in some bottles?

They said there must have been some sort of issue because there were multiple reviews claiming infection. Unfortunately they didn't have any sample bottles in the range of Bottle #s claimed to be infected

I've had a couple (and have more), no bottles in the rumored range and all great.

Too bad they just didn't call it Yeti Wild and be done with it...

Big disappointment for sure. The '09 I had a while ago was nothing less than spectacular, so the infected '11 was a huge tear fest. Was really looking forward to it and wanted to track down more for drinking/hoarding purposes. Unfortunately I'll have to wait until probably 2013 to start the hoarding process.

sorry to the the bearer of bad news, but i just had bottle 770 and it was definitely infected. smelled like cheese and tasted reasonably sour. had it next to all the yeti variants, definitely the disappointment of the group

sounds like they need to step up and be the bigger, brewery, so to speak. we are not making this shit up i think they need to try and make due with their customers. we are trying to do their work for them by narrowing it down for them, they hold the cards of information, all we can do it try to help.

Guess we'll be opening a bottle soon as well, there's actually 2 in Paris  . Depending on how it goes, we'll probably save the other.

Our tasting group opened a bottle last night. (I don't have the bottle number handy) I personally wouldn't call it infected but something was not right and light years away from the perfect bottle I last had in November.

I was one of the few that still enjoyed it but it didn't taste like how BA Yeti should taste like.

Damn, this is disappointing to hear. I just put bottle 0460 in my fridge. I will probably not crack it for a couple weeks (so I can share it), but may as well keep it cold until then.

I have had 3 bottles in the last couple weeks and none were infected - all were fantastic. I'm super sensitive to souring infections and these exhibited none.

I don't even see why this thread is still bumped. Two bottles total have been reported infected. A good amount more of us have said it is tasting perfect right now and no infection issues at all.

    ...

Plus four or five more like this one that said the bottles were "off" but didn't say 'definitely infected'
