When I was there for DR12, I was told Stag's Head was one of the first account holders w/ SA. If I ever want hyped SA stuff I can always get it there first.

DR12, Pumpkinator 2012, BB1 and now, BB2 - They never let me down.

So we all already know that Brock personally pissed in your cheerios, that you hate every SA beer other than Endeavour, you think every beer they brew is overrated and over hyped yet you're going to waste your time and money to go drink a beer that you have already formed an opinion of without trying it.

Seriously, whats the point? So you can tell more people how much the beer they like sucks? Or is it just to confirm what you already know, that you won't like it.

    Pumpkinator is good too?

Sorry, I'll try to keep the SA negativity to a minimum. I'm just really down on this whole "bar only" hype train release style.

I really DO enjoy some of their beers though.

Lol, well thats the 2nd remotely positively thing I've seen you say. I really don't care whether you like their beers or not, I've just never seen ANYONE make so many negative comments and attacks against one brewery.

I'm just curious where your deep seeded hatred comes from. For the record, I don't like all of their beers and that applies to most breweries. I guess we're different in I don't see the sense of bashing a brewery everytime they come out with a new beer I don't like.

I think it comes from too many years in Catholic school as a child.

Lol, I can see that. Too many saints? I get the hatred part, 4 years of military school can cause alot of hatred towards trivial things. Anyways, I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Cheers and thanks for the laughs and usual smartassness

Would it be because Saint Arnold is the Gateway Drug of n00bs into better beers (hi!) meaning less for everyone else that's been in the game a while? Or is Saint Arnold too Mainstream now? lol

I'll admit - IMO most SA's are Mid-Tier (now that I've tired others) and I only really go after the special stuff from them now because it tastes best. Founder's is my drug of choice now :slight_frown:

St A's definitely lost the "cool kid" status a long time ago. I understand many of their beers are gateway beers but I give them credit for trying new things. Some of them don't work out but some of them do (ie Pumpkinator and Endeavour).

Most breweries don't hit a home run with every beer they brew including JK, Firestone Walker, etc. that's why I don't get all the hatred for St A's. If someone doesn't like the hype than what's the point in contributing to it negatively or positively? I know this is BA and that's what BA's do but sometimes it's overkill with people making false statements or personally attacking other people's taste or preference in beer.

Had BB2 at Nobi Public House at 4, they still had 18 bottles left when I got mine. Ehh its a beer, not great a little undercarbed and thin but not terrible. I wouldn't buy again.

I believe the original purpose of the bar only thing was to reward certain accounts and by helping bring them more business, not to create hype. Over hyped or not, God knows there is hype behind all of their releases without having to add this bar only thing.

I'm hoping since they did increase production maybe they will eventually get away from that. In other words, maybe since the first batch was so small was part of the reason they originally made that stipulation. Of course some of the purpose was defeated when certain accounts started ripping off their customers hence more hatred towards St A's and certain accounts let people take home the beer when they were originally asked not to do that.

I honestly think their intentions were good but the whole thing kinda fell apart. I understand the frustration though, especially for Houston.

Too bad Stags Head is stuck in the Shaker Pint era of glassware from 1999.

I think this beer screams for a stemmed glass to help it warm and deliver the scent better.

LOL!!! - I was just trying to look out for others on the hunt

Also another thing I noticed, They may have made more of it this time but they spread it a LOT thinner - Little Bigs had like 8 cases of BB1 this time only 4 of BB2. Hay Merchant is getting a lot less this time as well and Petrol had 1/2 the amount this go round as well. Stag's Head was telling me the same thing.
