Spontaneous BIF: Hints and Hauls

Cool. Dropped my box at FedEx. 3 days, they say, more or less, so someone should be getting hit up on Thursday. More hints to come!

 

My box is packed up and will be dropped off today! My first hint was that it is heading very much north of me. My second hint, is that if you've hit Maine, you've gone too far north. My box contains all-local beers, most of which those who live in my state had quite the hard time finding. They range from 88-94 on BA. Oddly enough, I have one of each of the styles that my target stated in his favorites, plus a small horde of others. Very excited for this box to be received by its new owner!

 

Over the weekend I was disappoined. My target posted in "What are you drinking?" and was drining one of the beers I had sent.

 

My box is packed. Going to drop it off at Fedex after I get my new drivers license.

My box is heading to a warm and sunny spot. One of my favorite musicians lived here for a while and as a kid one of my favorite baseball players was from there. He was a pitcher.

I hope you enjoy the box. All beers according to seek a brew are not available to you. One beer is a local I have been drinking a lot of this winter and one is a local I had never seen but the style was on the list of likes. The others are all very highly rated on BA (88-97). One I have not had the other two I have been drinking this winter as well. Nothing impossible to find but one was tough for me, only found a few this winter.

I feel bad now that someone sent 20 lbs of beer. My box was a little over 10 lbs but with about 74 ounces I felt that was ok.

My box is supposed to arrive Saturday, if not Fedex tells me Monday.
I have the tracking if we are supposed to send this to the target.

 

I expect that my target will get their box today.

 

Dont feel bad. Its not a competition - just fun! I hope we're not going to compare and critique - just enjoy the fun of sharing beer with someone else!

 

I shipped my box via fedex today. It will get to warm sunny location west of me on Thursday.

My box contains some 12 oz beers and since the recipients state tends to like things BIG, I included a bomber. No whales handy but some great beers that are not local for my target. There's a 100 hundred rated beer,a 97, and a 98 and a few others. The lowest of the bunch is a 93 but its from a brewery that my target wanted to try. The are beers in the box fom both the west and the best coast. If his ratings are current then I believe he has only had one of the beers in the box (I hope so). I sent a him a duplicate since he rated it 5.0 and I had a few laying around.

Well, the first box has arrived to me, thanks to Providence. When I got home from work today, I found this on my porch:



Nice job! Always enjoy 3Beans, I've never tried anything from Long Trail (despite having previously lived in VT for 5 years!) so I'm really looking forward to trying the Imperial Porter, and Supplication is one of my ALL-TIME favorite beers, hands down.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Supplication..one of my all time faves. Look forward to seeing it on tap again soon. Monks should have it at the Younger charity event.
