I was able to visit the brewery on Saturday. The above poster's assessment of their bar service/growler service is spot-on. I waited 20 minutes to get myself and my buddy a pint of the saison. I took one look at the growler process and said, "forget that". Maybe a visit to the brewery will be more mellow in a month or so once the hype dies down, but there is nothing relaxing or enjoyable to me about fighting for elbow room amongst 100 people competing for the limited bar service. I took home a six pack of the saison and I am really loving it. Great beer and glad to have a local, go-to saison that comes in a six pack.

Went today for the first time. It was crowded, but my buddy and I were served right away. They had an interesting contraption for filling growlers that I had not seen before. They filled growlers the whole time and I don't think people waited that long. Maybe they have worked out the kinks. I loved the Saison. According to the bartender, they have a barrel aged rye stout coming out in a few weeks.

I'd love more people to be discussing Two Roads. Support the new guys! I've been up there three times now and can't seem to stop myself from going back. It's an amazing facility with fantastic beer. The DIPA has really grown on me, as I was initially not that impressed by it, and I can't get enough of the pils or the fantastically sessioanble saison. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else they come up with. They're quickly becoming a favorite brewery of mine.

I'm saving my first visit for when the rye stout hits. Anyone know when that will be?

I don't know, but I bet if you ask on FB they'll reply pretty fast. They are good about that.

I had their Double IPA a couple weeks ago when I saw the sixpack on the shelves. I haven't heard of them before and figured I would give them a shot. Very Glad I did. They brew a great IPA. I have yet to try their other offerings as of yet.

I've been back a few times since they opened. It is a fun place. They need to get the growler stations away from the bar area, though and there is plenty of dead space they could use to do this.

Ive tried the 4 bottle offerings that made it to SE CT, and I wasnt overwhelmed with the offerings. I will pick up more of the double IPA, def was the one that stood out to me out of the 4. I understand its tough to appeal with bottles on a crowded shelf, and I dont fault them for any of the beers I tried, I wouldnt turn any of them down if offered, but I dont see them being stocked in my beer fridge on a regular basis. ]

With that being said, I am def gonna check out the brewery, I have heard good things about it and am looking forward to visiting it, it certain has generated some buzz and I was told its worth the trip for me to check it out.

    From beer pulse yesterday
They also confirmed, when asked, that Igor will be in 750ml bottles on Twitter.

While I'm certainly excited about the limited-release IDRRIS, I can't say I'm thrilled about the bock being in bombers. One of my favorite things about Two Roads has been their affordability, and we all know that even a modestly-priced bomber translates into a ~$15 sixpack.

    $20 seems a tad steep....

They had the RIS at the BAR cask fest, and I found it to be one of the standouts of the fest. I'll certainly be ponying up for a few bottles when it's released.

With production of that capacity ... it's hard to believe they will be doing brewery only releases. I would have expected everything to get to retail. Unclear from the posts if the Doppelboch will get to retail or just be smaller brewery only release. Contracting getting in the way of their own brand or limited release building a vibe? Will be interesting to see.

I believe the Doppelboch will be the seasonal on tap. (Replacing the Biere de Garde)

Who are they contracting for (or will be)that is getting them up to 42K bbls for 2013? The short list I've seen are all smaller breweries that don't seem to have that kind of sales volume.

Two roads just came to do a tasting at our store last week. The sales rep told me they're running a bit behind on the IGOR but they're hoping to have it by the third week in march. It was originally set to be released march 9th but due to problem with state approval it has taken longer.

From my tour of the brewery and speaking with Clem, one of the partners for the brewery, he was only allowed to tell me that city steam was one of the places they would be contract brewing for. But he said there were several others as well.

They've been brewing the City Steam IPA for sometime. I did a tour a couple months ago, and that's what was on their bottling line. It'll be interesting to see what else is contracted there, as they projected contract brewing to be the far majority of the brewery's output in 2013.
