Thanks for the heads up but...I am pretty sure this can be found in A LOT of stores in SD. Heck the other day I saw one of the large format 2008 bottles.
Agreed I've seen this at all the decent bottle shops. I haven't seen a large format though, that would be interesting depending on the price.
it was $35 I think, not bad considering the initial cost and cellaring of the bottle (it wasn't just left on the shelves)... but I believe it was 2008 that had all the carbonation issues (i know there have been multiple vintages with issues). Needless to say, I passed on it.
I picked up 3x 2008 Angels Share 750s about 8 or 9 months ago. Since then I've opened all three and all have been flat, but delicious.
I would happily buy any 2008 brandy. It's flat and not optimal, but still tastes fantastic. Where did you see it? And to the OP: could you tell which year it was? I'd want to avoid the infected ones from 2010, but I'm fine with the flat 2008's.
