I don't remember if it had something to do with the larger batch size with pumpkinator, but dr9 from what I recall was much much thicker. Since Bishops Barrel is a smaller batch maybe it would be thick enough to withstand the barrels.

Bunch of random old guys in BRC "Well Brock told me..." Now that I think about it, it was stupid

But I'm glad you came out and cleared the air a bit! lol

It looks like there will be 7 made.. if you look on the bottle, there is a print that says BB#2/7

I don't think this was on the first one, but that's what I get from this.

I don't know whether you're serious or being facetious. Nothing cryptic on the bottle. 2/7 means it was bottled February 7th. Bishop Barrel isn't stopping. As long as there are wine barrels, whisk(e)y barrels, brandy, rum, port, grand marnier, cognac, etc. etc., we'll keep putting beer into them. No, please don't read into what I said. We don't have beer in cognac or anything else like that, yet? I was just going a bit overboard.

All in all, I'm glad you guys are talking about it. Gets me excited to share with you all, at least what I can share.

    Cheers.

I was there, too. That's like triple-confirmed now. I heard it was going to be a cognac barrel-aged Winter Stout mixed with Sailing Satan. Only six bottles released for this one. Petrol gets three, Hay Merchant gets two, and Little Bigs gets the last bottle. Start lining up now, chaps. CogStoutSatan '13!

Like I said, that's what I took it to mean. But it says "BB#2/7 020813" Wouldn't that mean that it was bottled on the 8th?

A barrel aged imperial kolsch... now you're innovating!

It should be dry "hopped" with grass.

I like the sound of this Sailing Satan. Perhaps an Avery/St A's collaboration?

I think we need to let Azzy off the hook and start using the verb "mattchowing" (although it sounds kinda wrong....) :stuck_out_tongue:
