I loved this beer, and it seemed to be pretty popular. It's still listed on their website, but I haven't heard anything about them making it this year. I recall it being out around this time last year. Perhaps it is being replaced by Tart Lychee? I really hope we see this beer again...anyone have any info?

I sure hope so. This blew all the other Lips of Faith stuff out of the water for me.

I have been told by a credible source that La Terroir will not be brewed in 2012 but is certainly in future plans from NB

And I whole heartedly agree that it was a fantastic beer and one that deserves to be revisited.

One of the best of the series. It blew me away.

There's a poster in the Mountain forum that works for NB and said it wouldn't. Too bad, really. It took forever to bottle that one but it used to be around locally for years.

Word on the streets is that the LOF series is set for the year and La Terroir is not in it. There are some cool collaborations planned from what I've heard.

I originally heard that it was going to be brewed every other year and alternated with Eric's Ale. I hope to see it again in bottles, though, as it is my favorite sour. It still occasionally shows up on tap, though, so that's something.

I met Eric (as in "Eric's Ale") at a New Belgium sour blending demo here in Chicago a few weeks back and he said it would likely be 2 years before we see that one again just due to the fact that it takes them 2+ years to get their sour batches ready...

I loved it so much I picked up two cases of it. Still got plenty to keep me going until the next batch comes out (if it ever does).

Oh, and please, it's Le Terroir, not La Terroir. I cringe every time I see it spelled that way.

I don't know if they're ever going to do Eric's Ale again. I asked Eric Salazar about this a while back and he said he wasn't sure. (This could have changed since then, of course). There was a keg of this at the rare beer tasting prior to GABF that was said to be one of the last 4 remaining kegs. I was more than happy to help them finish it off.

so how are these drinking now with the dry hopping most likely well faded?

It introduced me and my girlfriend to the world of sours. Just fantastic. I've not had/found it since and it makes me sad. Must have!

The last one I had was around December. Still delicious. It's not quite what it was fresh -- the blend of the sour, tart, citrus and dry hopping was masterful. But it's still blindingly sour and tart even now. It's just lost a bit of that almost "fruit juice" character.
