I opened a growler tonight and it was pretty flat. I think it was an issue with the growler and not the beer but I just wanted to make sure. Anyone have any insight?

    Cheers,
    Prescott

Sorry to hear that man. I hope that's not the case across the board, or else there will be some very unhappy folks

I haven't popped either of mine just yet.

Hopefully it was just an anomalous situation. It tasted great but I am sure that carbonation would have done wonders.

Mine was terribly flat. I was planning on surprising someone in CA with the other, but I'm afraid to send it now.

Im closer than CA, so the beer would be less flat when it gets to me:slight_smile:

I'll pop one of mine tomorrow night and let you guys know. I've had zero issues with previous weeks growlers. They are hauling ass filling them though, but I have no clue.

the smiley face was indicating sarcasm.

I assumed so. I was being equally sarcastic, however I did not know that's what the smiley was for.

Flat as a board, but still tasty

It will come in handy for my other growler. Now all I need is an empty soda bottle

Lol, I like it. Hell I have one of those SodaStream soda makers with the co2 tank. If mine is flat, I may pour it into the SodaStream bottle and give a blast of co2.

Do they pour into any growler? Or does it have to be Cigar City or a blank?

I'm going down early March and plan on bringing a 32oz that was a Saranac Howl. It has Saranac etched very small into the glassware, but luckily the label was plastic so I ripped that off

I am pretty sure they pour into any growler, but I think they will put a sticker on the growler.

Yeah, popped a growler tonight and it was flat as hell. It was still damn tasty, but the growler was overfilled for sure.
