When I was in the area, if I would have lived closer, I would have been in more often. The food was quality, the servers/bartenders were nice, and the beer selection was great. Since I wasn't a regular, I can't really give any constructive feedback on what to change because I enjoyed the service as it is/was.

    1. One thing that I would like, is for you to post pricing for Growlers on your website, and keeping it up to date. I do not have a problem with your prices, I just would like to know how much growlers are for standard beers/special releases, etc. before I go. 2. In the future it would be cool to see some colab's with local brewpubs (Haymarket, Piece, etc.) 3. I really enjoy going to Revolution because of the food! Obviously the beer is excellent, but what I think separates Revolution from their peers is how it seems like they focus as much on the quality of the food on the plate, as they do the beer in the glass.

I'm never telling you my ideas again :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Morgan, as for feedback, no more apples in the vending machine.

Your idea was very well received - 9 likes! Perhaps if you send them the proposed label art they might run with it.:grinning:
To everyone - tallboys of BA Baracus was Vav's idea. I'm surprised it took him so long to notice this thread.

Make it part of someone's gig to update the Beermenus.com list more often.

Just stopped by there for a dinner with a large group while visiting my parent's house for the weekend. I knew Anti-hero was very good from having it at other bars, but was blown away by BA mad cow (or whatever it was called). You probably care more about the establishment, however. Everyone enjoyed the food, the atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant was astoundingly clean (from someone with food service experience). our waitress and bartender were friendly, prompt and accommodating, considering my friends and I look nothing like most of the people there. My only suggestion is to keep all of these things up.

Keep up the dry hopped versions of your pale ales and IPAs on cask. Dangerously delicious. Maybe put a couple different hop varieties on at the same time so folks can try both?

Every time I've been there, I've been impressed by the high quality of food, service, and of course the delicious beer that you guys brew.

Your Baracus and Anti-hero IPA are second to none. Most of us Chicagoans would just love to buy your beers on store shelves. Keep up the great work!

I gotta say, I work in the greatest industry ever. You guys are fantastic, thank you for all of the kind words...good to know we're on the right track, we're gonna keep doing what we're doing and then some.

    As to your individual feedback,
Thanks DROO, always a pleasure to see you (especially when you give me beer ). Glad you dig the new portraits, I bought the Michael Jackson one personally. If anyone has any questions about the art program, I handle it so drop me a line! and yes, I'll see you Tuesday, it's going to be a great event!

Count on it! Our vegan beer dinner on Monday night is sold out, but it won't be the last we do. Next up is the Punk N' Brew beer dinner in collaboration with the Chicago History Museum, where you can learn about the history of Chicago punk while enjoying four courses (paired with beers from our Repo Man soundtracktrack series, of course) inspired by the punk lifestyle. Tickets for that one are available at www.chicagohistory.org.

Don't mind if we do...it will take a little while to get distribution of our BA offerings full swing, but there will be a significant portion of the Kedzie space dedicated to just that.

We're going to be launching a new website very soon, as a matter of fact! I've played around on the beta, it's pretty sweet. Stay tuned!

It's been discussed, but nothing concrete yet. I would expect some Mug Club benefits to carry over to the taproom though.

We took a brief break from specials to update our regular menu with new items and seasonal ingredients, so there was a bit of downtime, apologies. We typically release new specials on Thursday afternoons and they run until their gone, which has a varying timeframe. We are running some awesome specials as we speak though: Mushroom dusted swordfish, BBQ spareribs with pork rinds, a mac & cheese pizza with bratwurst, and a nice hazelnut tart.

Amen, brother. I never got that either. I have tattoos, and am pretty friendly. The rest of the staff pretty much fits that description too. If you don't like the looks of me so much it makes you feel unwelcome, well, there's not much I can do about that.

I fully understand how frustrating our reservation policy can be, and truly wish it could be different, but we've adopted a policy that allows us to accomodate as many people as possible. With the volume we do first come first serve really is the only thing that works. Having opened the Brewers' Lounge has definitely alleviated the wait times, though!

You and me both. I hope you all forgive me when I confess that I drank more than my fair share.

This. Wil is awesome when it comes to small beers, you can expect him to make some good ones in the future. We'll be pouring the last of our "A Little Crazy" on Monday night at the vegan beer dinner, but that one was so good in it's own right we might just brew it again straight up.

Ok, but you have to sign a waiver saying that we're not liable for anything that happens when you shotgun it.

Barring any special events, the Brewers' Lounge kitchen is open wed-sun, 5:00-10:00pm wed-fri, 12:00pm-10:00pm sat, and for brunch only on sun from 12:00pm-3:00. The bar sort of stays open by volume. On the off nights, like Monday or Tuesday, we don't do the business to justify staffing it, but we do take that opportunity to host fundraisers for a variety of worthwhile causes.

We hope to, soon enough. Initially we'll be focused on Cook County, but once we get into a rhythm world domination isn't out of the question.

Fair enough, I think that's a good idea. We'll take a look at it with the new website rollout. In the meantime, feel free to call anytime at 773-227-BREW

We always have a great time with collaborations. Thus far we've brewed with Pete Crowley of Haymarket (Let's Have A War), Nick Floyd of Three Floyds (Sodom/Gomorah), and Dustin Kral of Firestone-Walker (Dos Osos). All have been hugely successful, and successfully delicious. Definitely look forward to doing more in the vein.

Adam, you're that first apple I didn't want.

:flushed: Yeah, that would be me. I was terrible at it at first, but now I hit it up at least twice a week.

Rats, we just have one functional engine right now, but that's an awesome idea.

I think that's most of it! Again, thank all of you so much for the taking the time to chime in. Just wanted to show up on the threads and tip my hat specifically to the BA community! And to the Mug Club members among you, We're releasing this season's Workingwoman Brown on Wednesday...see you then!

Loved the sodom and all ur barrel aged beers! Beer fistival was great and u should continue to limit the number of tix for ur festivals, it just makes it more enjoyable when ur not packed in like sardines... Your food( pizza , pretzel, popcorn) are all great and I really can't think of a many ways to make ur place better..... How about private mugclub beer tasting events / feedback forum for beer ideas. Cheers!

Just came back from Saturday brunch. Everything was outstanding. Service was great, and the beer of course was great as well. Would just love to be able to get my hands on some bottles and cans soon!

I have been to Revolution many times and have not been disappointed. The food is great and the beer is always delicious. Service is attentive and food is always spot on (ie a burger ordered medium rare is always served medium rare) I enjoy it so much so that my fiancee and I decided to make Revolution the venue of our wedding in September. Keep the good things going, and I will look forward to finding your products in distribution some day.

At the risk of echoing previous comments, I'd like to amplify a few.

Revolution is my local and I am a big fan. Please more small beers! I love Workingman Mild. It's great to get a pint of something smaller and a taster or two of the bigger stuff for lunch. More lagers! I recognize the cost of lager brewing for a brewpub but I drank enough Riot to help the cause. Given the number of IPA-types are that usually on tap maybe some more single-hop beers for the homebrewing types like me? As for the 'hipster' thing, I would never, ever be mistaken for a hipster but have never had anything but great service and been treated well by you scary tattoo guys. Especially the early shift/afternoon weekend bartenders.

Really digging the new website: http://revbrew.com/

Under the Beers section, are the graphics on display indicative of how cans will look? With a different colored fist for each style? Or will we see more designs like Anti-Hero (with a more involved design)? Because I will totally drink more Eugene if the cans include an illustration of an old man throwing a barrel.
