Tried MBC Peeper (at only $9 a pint) on tap and thought it was pretty unimpressive- thought it tasted watery and bland. Liked it in the bottle though.

Maybe it was the price that left a bad taste in your mouth.

The issue may ultimately be that the keg was old. You can't control the time it was sitting around vs buying a bottle off the shelf with a freshness date on it.

Also, tap lines may be dirty, glass might have not been cleaned properly... Lots of factors can determine why it may taste different/worse.

Nah, neither one. Someone brought me the beer and the lines were clean. I just thought it tasted like hops and club soda mixed together. Like it in the bottle though.

But how do you know the keg wasn't old?

Could have been I guess. I will try to find out.

Tried to obtain the label off the keg and unable to. Keg from a reputable dealer, dealing in quality beer- assume the keg is fresh.

Normally, I much prefer draft. However, last weekend I had Bourbon County Stout on draft at the Station Tap room in Vermont. It was good, but not as good as from the bottle.

I felt the same way when I had it this weekend on tap...was not impressed at all. Kind of sucks because I like this beer and would love to go to the bar I got it at frequently as its pretty cool.

I had heard that they went through some equipment/process changes in the past year and that was why some of their beers (especially Lunch the Elder) drank pretty different than previous batches - it may be worth trying again down the road in a keg from a different batch.

Maybe if they stop donating profits to charity- as they wear on their sleeve- they could right their ship and become regular tax payers- like most of us.

Coffee in hand - check, popcorn - check this one is going to get good!

(I can't wait to see this $hit storm.)

My anecdotal opinion is that CBC's Audacity of Hops is better out of the bottle than on tap...

Apparently no show here. You and your accused ********* movie friend (odd choice to be associated with) may have to find entertainment elsewhere.

McNeills Firehouse. Always liked it in a bottle, but boring on tap.

Just had the Zoe from the bottle and these babies now taste watery. Mouthfeel is #2 for me after overall taste. Great for summer, but winter- meh.
