I got 1 extra BB2 if anyone in Houston wants to go 1:1 for a BB1. Never got to try it.

Really enjoyed it. Let it warm up and experience the Chardonnay.

Just got back into town... any ideas on places that still have it to go?

WF Lakewood in Dallas did not get any. Didn't check with the other stores.

Tried BB2 last night and am glad I didn't stockpile bottles. Not sure if was intended to be soured or not, but didn't think it was true to the old ale style. No big, rich maltiness. Instead, dry, tart, cherry, apple, cidery lightness. Not my bag, baby.

Yes, intended to be slightly tart. Your taste profile hit the nail on the head.

I do agree and while I didn't particularly have an issue with the sourness, I was more expecting to see a blend of a rich old ale along with all those characteristics. Was looking for something heavier. Shame that it didn't quite work out.

Anybody read Wednesday's Chronicle article on BB2?

Looks like DR4 recipe has been aging in Old Forester bourbon barrels since January. Beer's a Scotch ale.

I'm looking to snag a bottle or 2 of BB2 if anyone has any extra... Have a few BB1's, a couple of DR's and some Pumpkinator if anyone is interested.

A bit offtopic here but does anyone know if the dates on the St. Arnold's bottles are the bottled on day or best by date? Really hoping it's the former... lol
