I wish I had this problem....... Freezing rain here tonight. Raining now and brewing another Saison using HF flora yeast. You want some? Doing a tasting later, mine versus their Anna.

Okay... a little off track from the beers frequently talked about. I opened a Stone 15th Anniversary. It's dubbed a black IPA. A year & half later, this stuff is drinking more like a very tasty hoppy stout. Hop bitterness has faded just a touch and the malts took on a bit of burnt chocolate. If you have one of these or have access to one, give it a whirl. You'll love it! (if you like this style)

I'm sure I'll lose all credibility, then again who cares about credibility.

It has a decent bitterness and a light maltiness. The ingredients list on the back of the label reads: barley malt, corn, rice, hops, ascorbic acid E300. I'd wager the bitterness is around 20IBUs or so. Similar to most Swedish lagers. Yet it's definately more bitter than most AALs. I wish AALs like Bud and MGD increased their bitterness to 20 or above. It would make for a much more balanced beer, which I think Corona is, even with the mountains of hate which people aim against it.

While NJ would be happy to take credit for Troegs, to give credit where it is due, they are the pride of Hershey, PA.

But this Jersey guy does get to visit them a few times a year.

Don't know what I'm more excited about: the beer or baseball on TV. Ok, it's baseball, but the beer is pretty good, too!
