    Arguably the best american sour I think current trade value is .5 KH units or 1 KH = 2 Beats...

    Agreed with the above poster about quality. Closest thing to a true belgian Lambic to have been produced this side of the pond. Drinks with the best of them. As far as trading goes, I have no idea, as I would probably never trade any of my bottles

    It has been down for weeks. There is hope that the Feds will step in soon, as this beer is surely TOO BIG TO FAIL.

    i like using KH as a value indicator. I would rather see BCBS used as a more stable benchmark. There is less fluctuation in the market as it continues to be released.

    Just as the Breweriana forum uses Three Floyds Tekus as a guage...

    I like it better than than quite a bit of 3F and Loons like Oude Gueze, Doesjel,Armands (all except Lente), Classic Bio, 100% Lambic.

    I'm comparing it to Belgians in the similiar difficulty of landing. Of course many of the whaleish loons and 3F are not a fair comparison.

    I'm ready to go in, coach, just give me a chance. I know there's a lot of riding on it, but it's all psychological. Just gotta stay in a positive frame of mind.

    You're also comparing two entirely different styles of beer..

    Beatification is, as Vinnie sometimes calls it, a Sonambic...his term for a spontaneously fermented beer from Sonoma. It is (currently) blended with other Sonambic from different brew dates. Since it is a "young" beer (think a scale of months to years) it doesn't typically require priming and is refermentation in the bottle. Older batches (B1 ad PH1) were not blends. I think they were in barrels for 20-21 months. Fom B2 on, they have been blends fom multiple brew dates. Theis allow for easier refermentation in the bottle from blending younger and older beers.

    Straight (i.e., not fruited) bottled lambic from Belgium is rare (you are most likely to find it as De Cam's straight lambic or Cantillon Grand Cru Bruoscella). Those beers are (typically) aged at least two if not three years and are normally nearly if not totally still.

    All the beers you mentioned are gueuze beers...blends of multiple years of lambic (typically 1, 2 and 3 years). The blend allows for refermentation without priming in the bottle (though some are primed).

    There are similarities between Beatification and those beers, but to my knowlege (please correct if I am wrong?) no batch of Beatification has been aged for three years (The label for B5 says up to 24 months in barrels...that's the longest I see). It's to a straight comparison.

    To my palate, the differences are not are not trivial.

    Not trying to snark here, just providing information that not all have in their back pocket...
