Are they back now with a different brewer?

It was their twitter feed that led to a blog post, but I didn't recognize the name. I thought it was Peter something. They are releasing cellar aged saison.

Wow, sounds great. I thought the brewer from Odonata went to another brewery. Interested to hear more...

Looks like it's just the brand that is back with one original investor involved.
Not sure why this would excite anyone.

Yeah, maybe not quite as interesting now. I still might grab a bottle when this comes out to see if it's any good.

looks like so far all they are doing are selling vintage bottles of their original saison. Sounds like she won the backstock in the divorce and is trying to make some money off the old inventory.

Yeah , peter and rick have nothing to do with the new odonata.

Don't bother. The owner isn't even a brewer. Peter and Rick aren't a part of it, so it's nothing special anymore.

My understanding is that Rick and Tracy used to be married, but in the divorce, Tracy got basically all the rights to Odonata. She is now relaunching the brand without the original brewers / co-founder.

    Divorce is a bitch...

Didn't the original brewer go somewhere else? Sutter Buttes?

Peter has helped out at Sutter Buttes with a few beers. Not sure how often he brews there. I don't think he is brewing much at the moment. I wish he were, he makes excellent beer.

Peter is a rep for Brewers Supply Group. He now sells grains and hops etc to commercial breweries. Hope this helps.

This is the right answer. He cannot brew commercially due to conflict of interest, or something along those lines.

This is like when your favorite band reunites but they are old and sound like shit.

The entire band left, but the manager stayed and kept the name with new members. But hey, they can keep the rights to the songs!

I Thought Peter Hoey was brewing for Ruhstaller?

He helped Ruhstaller with recipes I believe and all of that happened pre Brewers Supply.
