I choose a drinking battle to the death! The one thing Chuck Norris can't fight...alcohol poisoning. He can't punch, kick, or headbutt it.

Except that alcohol drinks Chuck Norris to get drunk.

Was this on draft at BW yesterday? Picked up a couple of bottles today at the Barrel House.

Curious what folks that got to drink it already thought of it. I've heard it is different than most of the recent releases from Cascade.

Yeah it was and yes it is. Smells a lot like a Flanders Brown with that sweet/sour aroma. The taste is great. Again, initial sweetness with just a little tart. The bourbon and wine barrels come through nicely without being hot at all. If you would have told me it was ~12% I would have punched you in the face and danced the tango with your wife!

I was actually trying to find this info^^

Well that is interesting even more, because when I was in there yesterday, I asked the woman serving beer if "...[they were] going to tap a keg of the bottleworks beer anytime soon?" She responded with "no, because it was on for the last 2 weeks. It was the Manhattan NW." There was another woman there, that inquired about the beer after I started. She asked "So, the Manhattan NW is similar to THIS beer (referring to the bottleworks bottles)." The worker reiterated, "No, it IS the Manhattan NW." She walked away with a couple bottles and I, with none.

So, if both of you say that they are 2 different beers, then I say that woman is either misinformed or is giving out misinformation... or both. Kinda sucks for that woman who bought 2 bottles, expecting to get the Manhattan NW.

Yeah, I was also told today that the Manhattan NW was basically Bottleworks XIV blended with a raspberry beer. Which also doesn't match any of the published descriptions. I don't know what to make of it.

The descriptions of Manhattan NW and BW 14 are quite a bit different. All you should know is that BW 14 is the bees knees. It really is a phenomenal beer. Go team Matt's and Cascade!

I stopped in today around lunch to see what was left after the chaos. 12th anniversary was still on and it looked like lots of bottles were left.

Bottleworks tweeted earlier that they had four cases left.

The ChiTown juggalos don't scare me as much as the Michigan Juggalos. Those bitches be crazy!

Also, if it makes you feel better...I didn't run into Joel at the BW release, but if I see him I will slap his face for shaving.

I don't know Dan...Wanderer was pretty great but a little underwhelming. I really do love BW XII but ill give The Wanderer an almost tie
