BA's with multiple cherry rye

I heard Cherry Rye is just a shelf beer. Some fresh Pliny should be able to land it just fine. A CA trader needs to jump in and confirm this for me, however.

On a serious note, minimal quantities made it to the state of Wisconsin and it blew through in Chicago faster than Bramble did last year (and there were allegedly smaller quantities of this than Bramble). Not sure how much the east coast got.

 

Did not see this in Philly at all. But I was able to get a few Coffee.

 

Maybe they let him buy the Bramble last year first, and then let him buy a case each of Coffee and Cherry Rye this year to apologize for allowing him to buy that much Bramble?

 

No joke I traded for a Cherry Rye with a Chicago BA and sent shelf beer. A 2011 EC18 Eclipse. Both sides were happy.

And a NY BA offered me a Cherry Rye $4$ for fresh Pliny but I declined him because I didn't wanna take advantage of such a lopsided trade.

 

I had 57 bottles. I drank one and shared another bottle with the 10 guys in my tasting group. Now I'm down to 55, wish i hadn't shared that bottle! Make that 54, I gave one to a guy that wore a leather suit and ball gag to a party this weekend, he earned it!

 

If this means you have any Bramble you're looking to unload, or if you know anyone who is, then I'd be happy to accommodate! I'll actually be up in NJ in 10 days.

 

Nope, can't say I do. I only ended up getting one bottle, which was consumed relatively fresh.

 

I had 4 but traded one away and drank one. Between the guys I share with I think we ended up somewhere in the 30 range.

 

Would like to add a word of caution to any BA's that might want to potentially make a trade deal with this guy(ABisonEgo). Only because I hate seeing people getting ripped off by bad traders. We had an IP trade set up at Central Waters Anniversary Party; he was going to trade me a CW15 and a KH. He was planning on trading a CW 15 for a KH at the anniversary party; he didnt not have own a bottle of KH that he said he was going to trade me. He did not tell me that he did not own a bottle of KH at the time of our trade agreement. I run into him at the CW party after trying to find him and contact him almost the entire evening of the event. He says that he did not get any bottles of CW 15. So, fine trade didnt work out. End of story... or so I thought...

Not a week later, He is posting on the trade forums FT: CW 15. Did this guys just lie to me at the CW party? So he could keep his CW 15 and a King Henry? You folks can decide that one for yourselves. Just make sure that he sends first if you trade with him because after my experience with him cant say that I would trust shipping a beer box his way.

I didnt think that this situation required a report to the bad traders list, but now that I am seeing this thread pop up and the way he is acting on the site; I felt that people should know so they dont get blindsided by this guy.

 

I'll re-post here since his ISO got deleted. Watch the bait and switch. We had an in-person trade worked out (a 15 for a Cherry) and were just deciding on the time and location to meet up when ABisonEgo asked for an additional bottle of beer along the lines of BCBCS or Bramble to complete the trade. I said no thanks.

The guy needs to learn that this is a community, not Craigslist. If you're going to screw around with people, the word is going to get out, and no one will want to trade with you.

I really don't know what a dicktouch is. I just know that the OP is behaving like one when he plays the beer trading game.

 

I agree it sounds like the OP is full of tiger blood and is winning, but the dicktouch thing does sound interesting. ISO!

 

Looking at this thread, it seems like I am the luckiest guy around. Kept calling local shop when they will get their one allotted case (surprise they were allotted one considering they didn't get Coffee). Finally stopped calling. The Friday of the NE snowstorm, I stop to buy beers at around noon (who doesn't like an early happy hour due to a snow storm) and I look at the top shelf. Snuggled between bottles of Night Stalker, Big John, Madame Rose, Juliet, etc. are 4 bottles of Cherry just sitting there. They had a 1 bottle limit for 2 days and put the rest on the shelf the next day which just happened to be the Friday of the storm. Price was a reasonable $21.99 for NY (Westchester) standards. Sweet!

Had one, sent one to a regular trading BA and got 2 in the cellar.
