Saw this mentioned on Twitter thanks to Chuk_Hell via a RT of @beerpulse and the news slipped past me... Favorite Brands has just picked up B. United's beer portfolio...

Anyways... who? What? Why should I care? This is big news folks and a big expansion on the amount of European craft beer that will be available to you in Texas... especially Italian, British, Belgian and German craft beer. I won't try to list them out since there's so many in there... so take a look. Hitachino Nest is also part of this deal from the Asian craft beer side.

JW Lee's Harvest Ale, FTW btw.

Take a look at the list here:

I'm very excited about this news, and not just because of Harviestoun which was mentioned in another thread. I drink the hell out of H&G Alteration but I'd love to get my hands on some Uerige alts. It's unlikely that we'll get more than a handful of those breweries because of the ridiculous amount each one has to pay to get a TX licence, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for De Dolle, JW Lees, Harveys, Uerige, Hanssens Artisanaal and Gosebrauerei Bayrischer Bahnhof.

Of those breweries... yeah, we know Harviestoun and Hitachino Nest are definitely coming soon.

De Dolle Oerbier is amazing. And I saw there is a version aged in calvados casks. Extra nice.

Hoping we see Aecht Sclenkerla around here, don't think they currently distro to TX, and I hear their rauchbiers are excellent.

    That's pretty sweet news!
I'd be really excited if we saw stuff from Birra Del Borgo, Birreria Le Baladin, De Dolle*, Hanssens*, and JW Lees!

*If we got De Dolle and Hansses I wouldn't care about any of the others.

Unfortunately De Molen is Shelton Brothers... and we all know Shelton Brothers hates Texas. They also hate the Alamo.

Lets kickstart a distribution company so we can buy the rights to distribute their portfolio in Texas lol. Their portfolio is awesome.

If this happens, I'll have to ask my parents to quick searching in Shreveport, LA and Vegas. Yes, they're degenerate gamblers.

You guys need to start annexing the dairy department.

"Why is there beer in this milk cooler?!" "Why is there a small flag that says Beer Dept stuck in this cheese?!"

Hanssens? That would make them the first lambic to be sold here in TX (not counting timmermans or lindemans) and I pray that it happens!

Why does Timmermans or Lindemans not count as a lambic?
